Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present- Addis, Cordingly, Fritz
and Murray. Trustee Bird late.
Minutes of regular meeting of Sept. 20, 1927, read and
approved.

Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.Alon Golfberg was present regarding the erection of a sign
on National Avenue between Sixth and Segenth Streets. Same was
referred to the City Marshal.
.Mr. Peterson presented a Map of a proposed Unit No. 2 of
Paradise Hills Subdivision. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz,
that it be referred to the Planning Commission. Carried.

.Petition of A. E. Upper for Pool Licnese at 1820 6th Avenue
was read and ordered filed.
,Communication from King S. Heath requesting an extension of
ninety days time in which to complete strip pavement on First
Avenue was read.
tESOLUTION NO. 1174, Granting King S. Heath ninety days
extension of time in which to complete contract of paving strip
on First Avenue was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis, that
the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting
aye.
,Communication from T. B. Penick & Sons requesting extension
of sixty days time in which to complete the grading and other
improvement of portions of D Avenue and Eighteenth Street was
read.
:RESOLUTION NO. 1175, Granting T. B. Penick & Sons an
extension of sixty days time in which to complete the contract
for grading and other improvement of portions of D Avenue and
Eighteenth Street was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
,Petition of T. G. Forbes to install a gasoline pump on
National Avenue between Ninth and Tenth Streets was read.
,Petition of Ray M. Harris, City Attorney, for increase of
$50.00 per month in salary was read and ordered filed.
.Report of the Recorder for month of September 1927 showing
fines collected amounting to $1560.50 was presented and ordered
filed.
,Reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer for quarter
ending Sept. 30, 1927, were presented and ordered filed.
;ORDINANCE NO. 572, An Ordinance Regulating the Establishment
and Maintenance of Reduction Works and Fertilizer Plants within
the City and Providing a Penalty for the Violation thereof, was
placed on final passage, and on motion by Bird, seconded by Addis,
same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye.

ORDINANCE NO. 573, An Ordinance Prohibiting the Sale of
Merchandise, etc., and the obstruction of streets and alleys
within the City, was placed on final passage, and on motion_ by
Bird, seconded by Fritz, same adopted, all Trustees present voting
aye.
•Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the petition of
T. G. Forbes to install gasoline pump on National Avenue between
Ninth and Tenth Streets be referred to the Planning Commission.
Carried.
,Appeal of Frank M. Tattersall and others from the assessment
roll and warrant for the paving of K Avenue, A Avenue and Sixth
Street was read and ordered filed.
RESOLUTION NO. 1176, Directing notice inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of electric current for Lighting District No. 1,
was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Reso-
lution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
