Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present- Addis, Bird, Cordingly,
Fritz and Murray.
Minutes of regular meeting of Sept. 6, 1927 and of regular
adjourned meeting of Sept. 14, 1927, read and approved.

Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
,Communication from the Fire Chief with recommendations for the
enlargement of the Fire Department was read and ordered filed.
.Communication from Griffith Company requesting an extension
of thirty days time for the paving of portions of Sixth Street,
A and K Avenues was read and ordered filed.
RESOLUTION NO. 1169, Granting Griffith Company an extension
of thirty days time in which to complete the contract in paving
of portions of Sixth Street, A and K Avenues was read. Moved by
Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted.

Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,Communication from Pioneer Transfer Co. Inc. of Calexico
requesting an extension of sixty days time for the improvement
of portions of Highland Avenue and other Streets, was read and
ordered filed.
;RESOLUTION NO. 1170, Granting Pioneer Transfer Co. Ina. of
Calexico sixty days extension of time for the improvement of por-
tions of Twelfth, Thirteenth, Fifteenth Streets, Highland, I and
J Avenues, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that
the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting
aye.
'Petition of C. B. Ireland, City Engineer, for an increase
of $50.00 per month in salary was read and ordered filed.
,Petition of B. W. Servatius, Superintendent of Streets,
for an increase of $50.00 per month in salary was read and ordered
filed.
.Report of the City Engineer on the petition for grading of
P Avenue from Eighth to Eighteenth Streets, showing same was' signed
by 76% of the owners, was read and ordered filed.
.Inventory of the supplies of the Fire Department and Park
was presented and ordered filed.
.The Police Committee recommended the transfer of the Pool
License of W. B. Becker to A. E. Upper. Moved by Addis, seconded
by Fritz, that the Pool License in the name of W. B. Becker be
transfered to A. E. Upper. Lost by the following vote: Ayes -
Trustees Addis, Fritz. Noes- Trustees Bird, Cordingly, Murray.
.The City Attorney reported that there was no law by which
you could restrict portions of the City against the colored race.
,ORDINANCE NO.
, An Ordinance prohibiting the sale
of merchandise, etc. and the obstruction of streets and alleys
within the City was read. ?loved by Bird, seconded by Addis, that
it be introducMM and laid over under the rules and according to
law. Carried.

,.ORDINANCE NO. , An Ordinance Regulating the Estab-
lishment and Maintenance of Reduction Works and Fertilizer Plants
in the City was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that
it be introduced and laid over under the rules and according to
law. Carried.
RESOLUTION NO.
1171, Approving diagram of the City Engineer
for the improvement of portions of Twelfth, Thirteenth, Fifteenth
Streets; Highland, I and J Avenues was read. Moved by Fritz,
seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
RESOLUTION NO. 1172, Approving diagram of the City Engineer
for the grading and other improvement of portions of D Avenue and
Eighteenth Street was read. Moved by Cordingly,seconded by Fritz,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
:RESOLUTION NO. 1173, Ordering Improvement for National City
Lighting District No. 1 was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by
Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
-Estimate of plumbing to be done in the rear of the Library
amounting to $85.00 was presented and ordered.filed.
,Mr. H. P. Requa was present stating that the expenses of
the National City exhibit at the County Fair amounted to $189.35
and requested that the City pay the same. Moved by Bird, seconded
by Addis, that the City pay bill of $189.35 for expense of exhibit
at San Diego County Fair. Carried, by the following vote: Ayes -
Trustees Addis, Bird, Fritz, Murray. Noe -Trustee Cordingly.
,Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis, that the sum of $300.00
be transfered from the Health Fund to the General Fund; also
$300.00 from the Pound Fund to the General Fund, and that the
proper officers be instructed to make the necessary entries upon
their records. Carried.
•Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the sum of
$700.00 be transfered from the General Fund to the Street Fund;

$700.00 from the General Fund to the Fire Fund; and $1000.00 from
the General Fund to the Police Fund, and that the proper officers
be instructed to make the necessary entires upon their records.
Carried.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Board adjourn.
Carried.
