Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present --Addis, Bird, Cordingly,
Fritz, and Murray.
Minutes of the regular meeting of March 16, 1926, read
and approved.
The following bills audited by a majority of the Finance

Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
?Communication from L. S. Everts and Company regarding
audit of the City Recorder's books was read and ordered filed.
.Communication from the Carmel -San Simeon State Highway
Association was read and ordered filed.
Petition of E. O. Helgason for refund of $10.00 deposit

for the removal of trees was read and referred to the Street
Superintendent.
,Petition of property owners for a street light at the
corner of Fourth Street and G Avenue was read and referred to
Trustee Cordingly.
.Petition of property owners on Sixth Street requesting
that the Board cancel the petition for cement paving and give
them five inches of asphaltic concrete instead was read and
referred to the City Engineer.
.Communication from the Homeland Building Company regarding
the Subdivision of the easterly quarter of ten acre lots 15
and 16, Quarter Section 155, was read and laid over to the next
meeting.
.The following bids received for the installation of orna=
mental street lights on portions of National Avenue and Eighth
Street were read and referred

.The Fire Committee were given further time regarding the
hydrant at Thirteenth Street and First Avenue.
.Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the proper officers
be instructed to draw a warrant on the General Fund in favor
of Glen D. Tiffany for $15.00 refund of deposit for removal of
trees. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
The Street Committee was given further time regarding the
open well between Fifth and Sixth Streets and L and M Avenues.
.The City Engineer was given further time regarding the
grading of Lanoitan Avenue from Sixteenth to -Eighteenth Streets.
'The City Engineer reported that he could not get a Deed for
a thirty foot strip of land for street purposes from the Para-
dise Valley Sanitarium.
.Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz that the City Engin-
eer be instructed to 'purchase the necessary blanks for street
improvement. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.

.The City Engineer's report on the bids for the installation
of ornamental lights on portions of National Avenue and Eighth
Street was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly that the
report of the City Engineer be laid over until the next meeting.
Carried.
.The report of the Recorder for the month of March, 1926,
was presented and ordered filed.
.The Quarterly reports of the City Clerk and the City Treas-
urer were read and ordered filed.
.Bond of Alton B. Carter, as sidewalk builder was presented.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the bond be approved,
accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
.RESOLUTION NO. 1044, directing the City Engineer to furnish
diagram for the paving of Seventh Street from 15tto K Avenues was
read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,RESOLUTION NO. 1045, approving the diagram presented by the
City Engineer for the paving of Seventh Street from lfito K Ave-
nue.was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis that the Board
• adjourn. Carried.

RESOLUTION. NO. 1046
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, ON THE
TWELFTH DAY OF APRIL, 1926.
WHEREAS, there was held on the twelfth day of April,
1926, a General Municipal Election, in the City of National
City, California, and
WHEREAS, the officers to be elected at said election
were the following, to -wit:
Three Trustees, each for a term of four years.
AIID WHEREAS, the returns of said Election have all
been received and the Board of Trustees of the City of
National pity, California, is at this time, to -wit: on this
19th day of April, 1926, duly convened, pursuant to law for
the purpose of canvassing said returns and installing the
newly elected officers of said City, and has at this time
publicly opened and canvassed said returns and ascertained
the result of said election, and
WHEREAS, from such canvass of said returns, it appears
that tho result of said election is as in the following
resolution and order of said Board stated:
NO7 THEREFORE, it is by the Board of Trustees of the
said City of National City, California, hereby resolved and
ordered as follows:
SECTION 1. That the result of said election io hereby
ascertained and declared as follows: That in consolidated
voting precinct A of said City, (comprising State and County
election precincts numbers 2, 5, 4 and 5), the total number of

votes cast at said election was

That there were in consolidated voting precinct A
(comprising State and County election precincts numbers
2, 3, 4 and 5), at said election votes cast as follows, to -wit:
For Trustees of said City:
For A. J. Addis 271 votes.
For J. A. Fritz 273 votes.
For John W. Gardener 189 votes.
For Raymond Hill 174 votes.
For Alex Murray 302 votes.
For Warren B. Vaughan 155 votes.
SECTION 2. That in consolidated voting precinct B
of said City, (comprising State and County election pre-
cincts numbers 1, 6 and 7), the total number of votes cast
at said election was 327
That there were in consolidated voting precinct B
(comprising State and County election precincts numbers
1, 6 and 7), at said election votes cast as follows, to -wit:
For Trustees of said City:
For A. J. Addis 132 votes.
For J. A. Fritz 133 votes.
For John V. Gardener 1si votes.

hereby determined and declared that tho persons heroinnfter
named have respectively received the highest number of votes
for the offices for which they wore respectively running, and
have each boon at said eloction duly elected to said offices,
