Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present --Addis, Bird, Cordingly,
Fritz, and Murray.
Minutes of meeting of April 19, 1926, read and approved.
.The President of the Board announced the following as
members of the standing committees for the ensuing year:
Finance and Accounts--Cordingly, Bird and Addis; Streets and
Public Property --Fritz; Water Supply and Fire Department --
Bird; Police --Addis; Public Health and Morals--Cordingly.
The following bills audited by a majority of the Finance

Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz that the bills be allowed

and warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
,Mr. Eddy present asking when bridge would be put in on
Eighth Street in Paradise Valley.
,Mr. Shard, 718 W. Fifteenth Street, present protesting
against chickens, claiming same are within four feet of his
residence. Referred to the City Marshall with instructions to
enforce the Ordinance.
.Communication from L. C. Ford regarding drainage on B Ave-
nue was read and ordered filed.
,Communication from L. N. Turrentine regarding Police De-
partment was read and ordered filed.
.Petition of property owners for the paving of K Avenue
from Fourth to Eighth Street and portions of Sixth Street east
of K Avenue was read and referred to the City Engineer.
,Petition of R. L. Amos for an increase of salary to $175.00
per month was read and referred to the Fire Committee.
,Petition of B. W. Servatius for an increase of salary to
w200.00 per month was read and referred to the Street Committee.
.Petition of C. B. Ireland for an increase of salary to
$250.00 per month was read and referred to the Street Committee.
.Communication from the Fire Chief recommending the enlarge-
ment of the Fire Department etc. was read and ordered filed.
,Report of L. S. Everts & Co. regarding the audit of the
Recorder's books was read and ordered filed.
.Report of the City Engineer regarding the petition of prop-
erty owners on Sixth Street requesting asphaltic concrete instead
of Portland cement showing that 44.57 per cent of the actual front-
age on the street was represented was read and ordered filed.
,Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly that the City Engineer
be instructed to change the specifications for the paving of Sixth
Street from concrete to asphaltic concrete and to include K Ave-
nue from Fourth to Eidth Street in the same proceeding. Carried.
.The City Engineer was given further time regarding the
grading of Lanoitan Avenue.

.The Street Superintendent reported that the trees planted
by E. 0. Helgason were growing. Moved by Addis, seconded by
Fritz that the proper officers draw a warrant on the General
Fund in favor of E. 0. Helgason for $10.00, being deposit for
the removal of trees. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis that the proper officers
be instructed to draw a warrant on the General Fund in favor of
the Griffith Company for $8,384.97, being 25% of the costs of
paving Seventh Street from First to K Avenue. Carried., all
Trustees present voting aye.
,Communication from Ella Ernst requesting refund of $15.00
deposited for removal of trees on East Eighteenth Street was
read and referred to the Superintendent of Streets.
.RESOLUTION OF AlhARD NO. 1047 for the installation of orn-
amental lights on portions of National Avenue and Eighth Street
was read. Moved by Birr', seconded by Addis that the Resolution
be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird that the Resolution of
Award for the installation of ornamental lights on portions of
National Avenue and Eighth Street be approved. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
,RESOLUTION NO. 1048, adopting the Map of Homeland Park, a
Subdivision of the easterly quarter of ten acre Lots 15 and 16,
Quarter Section 155, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by
Addis that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the Fire Department
be instructed to purchase a pulmotor. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird that the Board adjourn.
Carried.
