Pogo to remove three eucalyptus trees at the northwest corner of Fifth Street and Highland Avenue was read. iicvod by 3ird, seconded by Fritz that the petition be granted. Carried. .Petition. of Glen D. Tiffany to remove three eucalyptus trees at the southeast corner of Fourth Street and F. Avenue was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird that the pet- ition be granted. Carried. .Feport of the Fire Chief for the term ending December 31, 1925, was read and ordered filed. Report of the Recorder for the month of December, 1925, was read and ordered filed. ,The City Engineer recommended that the City install a drain at Eleventh Street on the east side of the San Diego & Arizona Failway right of way; aleo a drain should be install- ed across 8th Street east of right of way; also one across 8th Street between 6th and 7th Avenuee. He reported estimate for the paving petition by the Sweetwater Union Hi3h School would amount to $1265.00. .The following bid received for thegrafinz of portions of certain streets and avenues weet of National Avenue: H. G. FENTON Excavation 0 39 cente per. cu. yd. Embankment @ 39 cents per. cu. yd. Cement concrete sidewalk @ 1Si cente per. sq. ft. Cement concrete curbing C 53 cente per. lin. ft. Cement concrete dipe J 21 cents per. s. ft. Culverts and gutter inlet complete 4100.00 same was read and referred to the City Engineer. .Bends of Frank M. Chase, John W. Gardner, J. 1l. iianaway, and P. G. Willis, Master Plumbere, were presented. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis that the bonds be approved, accepted, and ordered filed. Carried. .loved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz that the petition of J. H. Curry for refund of :20.00 deposit for removal of trees be granted and the ;roper officers draw the necessary warrant. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 219. ,PrOLLTTIOR PTO 1022, authorizing payment of bonded in- debtedness due January 1, 1926 amounting to 111135.00 was read. Moved -by Cordingly, seconded by Addis that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ,PEPOLTJTTON NO. 1029, Ordering Work of pavin? Seventh Street from First to K. Avenue was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconde by Addis that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ,Report cf the City Engineer on bid for gradin= certain Streets and Avenues West of National flvenue and recommending the acceptance of the bid of H. G. Fenton was read and ordered filed. ,RFEOIrTTON OF AWARD NO. 1030, awarding contract for the improvement of certain streets and avenues to H. G. Fenton was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the Resolution of Award for the grading and other improvement of portions of cer- tain Streets and Avenues West of relational Avenue be approved. Carried, all Truetees present voting aye. .Moved by Cordingly, secord:.d by Bird that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for painting and calcimin- ing the interior of the Public Library according to plane and epecificstione on file in the office of the City Engineer. Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz that it be introduced and laid over under the rules and - according to law. Carried. Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis that the Board adjourn. Carried.
