Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered dram for same. Carried by the following
vote: Trustee Addis, No. Ayes, Trustees Bird, Cordingly, Fritz,
and Murray.
,Report of the Recorder for the month of May, 1926, shooting
fines collected amounting to $1,073.00 was read and ordered
filed.
.Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly that the proper officers
be instructed to draw a warrant on the General Fund in favor of
Louis Guichard for $35.00, being refund of deposit for removal of
trees. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.The matter of closing a portion of L Avenue was laid over
until the next meeting.

Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis that it be introduced and
laid over under the rules and according to law. Carried.
,Trustee Cordingly requested a leave of absence for two
months. Moved by Addis, seconded by Bird that Trustee Cord-
ingly be granted a leave of absence for two months. Carried.
.Communication from the County League of Planning Commis-
sions with copy of letter to the Board of Supervisors of San
Diego County requesting that the Board of Trustees endorse same
was read. Moved by -Bird, seconded by Fritz that the Board of
Trustees endorse same and the City Clerk be instructed to noti-
fy the County Board of Supervisors. Carried.
,Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the Street Superin-
tendent be instructed to have the southeast quarter of the inter-
section of Eighth Street and E Avenue paved from property line to
property line. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly that the City Clerk be
instructed to advertise for sixty days in The National City Were
requesting property owners desiring three -fourths of the width
of street in front of their property paved under the Vrooman'Act
to file petitions within sixty days in order that the Board of
Trustees may determine the amount of a general bond issue to be
submitted to the voters of said City for the paying of twenty-
five per cent of the cost of said paving. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz that the Board adjourn.

gasoline tank

on Third Street east of National Avenue adjoining
3, Pearson's Subdivision. Moved by Bird, seconded
permission be given Ir. Rossiter to install gaso-
line tank, work to be done under the supervision of the Fire
Department. Carried.
,Petition of property owners for a fire hydrant at Fourteen-
th Street and Highland Avenue was read and referred to the Fire
Department.
,The natter of closing L Avenue was laid over.

ORDINANCE NO. , Limiting the time of parking on
portions of National Avenue and Eighth Street was road. Moved
by Bird, seconded by Addis that it be laid over under the rules
and according to law. Carried.
, Bond of C. L. Crain, master plumber,'was presented. Moved
by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the Bond be approved, accepted,
and ordered filed. Carried.
• RESOLUTION NO. 1056, Directing the City Engineer to fur-
nish diagram for the installation of ornamental street lights
on portions of National Avenue and Eighth Street was read.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.RESOLUTION NO. 1057, Approving the diagram for the install-
ation of ornamental street lights on portions of National Avenue
and Eighth Street was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
,RESOLUTION NO. 1058, Directing the City Engineer to furnish
diagram for the paving of Eighth Street from A to K Avenue was
read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.RESOLUTION NO. 1059, Approving the diagram for the paving
of Eighth Street from A to K Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz,
seconded by Addis that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
,RESOLUTION NO. 1060 of Intention to close portions of Eighth
Avenue, Twenty-sixth Street, and the alley in Block 282 was read.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird that the City Attorney be
instructed to notify Mr. H. M. Wegeforth not to close the street
running from Fourth to Eighth Streets on the westerly side of
property of Idr. J. A. Fritz. Carried.
,The City Marshall requested permission to have signs and
awnings at the new office. Referred to the Police Committee.

,Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that the sum of $449.70
be transferred from the Fire Apparatus Bond Fund of 1924 to the
General Fund and the proper officers be instructed to make the
necessary entries on their records. Carried.
.Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that the sum of $1200.00
be transferred from the General Fund to the Street Fund, also
$600.00 from the General Fund to the Park Idaintenance and Im-
provement Fund and the proper officers be instructed to make
the necessary entries on their records. Carried.
moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird that the salary of the
Deputy City Clerk, Nellie Groftholdt, be made $85.00 per calen-
der month beginning July 1, 1926. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird that the Board adjourn.
Carried.
