Trustees present --Addis, Bird, Fritz, and Murray. Trustee Cordingly absent. Minutes of regular meeting of July 6, 1926, read and approved. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Communication from Perry J. Wilden regarding the opening of Fourteenth Street between F and Highland Avenues was read and referred to the City Engineer. .Petition of Mr. deposit of 615.00 to and Mrs. August Schoening accompanied by a remove three trees at 707 E Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird that the petition be granted. Carried. .Petition of property owners for fire hydrants at Eighth Street and N Avenue, Eighth Street and P Avenue, and Eighth Street and R Avenue was read and referred to the Fire Department. .Petition of A. C. Rice for an extension of time for the com- pletion of contract for the installation of ornamental lights on portions of National Avenue ana Eighth Street was read and ordered filed. ,RESOLUTION NO. 1062 granting A. C. Rice an extension of sixty a days time for the completion of contract for the installation of ornamental lights was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .RESOLUTION NO. 1063 granting H. G. Fenton an extension of thirty days time to complete the contract for the grading and other improvement of certain streets and avenues was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz that the Resolution be adopted. Car- ried, all Trustees present voting aye. ,bond of John N. Cady, Master Plumber, was presented. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the bond be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried. ,RESOLUTION NO. 1064, Ordering the Closing of portions of Eighth Avenue, Twenty-sixth Street and the Alley in Block 282 was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Bird that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. -RESOLUTION NO. 1065, Ordering the closing of the easterly 10 feet of J Avenue between Seventeenth and Eighteenth Streets was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Communication from the City Planning Commission with map attached and recommending that the Trustees call a bond election for $160,000.00 to cover the costs of 25% of paving certain streenswas read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird that it be re- ferred back to the City Planning Comnission to secure deeds for streets recommended to be paved. Carried. .IIr. J. E. Blackman was present regarding an extension of tide land lease. Same was referred to the City Attorney. _Moved by Biid, seconded by Addis that a fire hydrant bo in- stalled at First Avenue and Eleventh Street and that the City Clerk be instructed to notify the Sweetwater Water Corporation. Carried. .Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis that the City spend not to exceed the sum of 0.50.00 for a carnival to celebrate the install- ation of ornamental street lights and also for the purpose of o. advertising the City. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. tFdoved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that the Street Superin- tendent be instructed to have the Ben Pearce Contracting Company repair portions of the pavement on Eighth Street. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz that the Board adjourn. Carried.
