Trustees present --Addis, Bird, Cordingly, Fritz, and Murray. Minutes of the regular meeting of February 16, 1926, read and approved. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Mr. L. E. C. Smith requested permission to grade street at 18th and Highland Avenue. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that L. E. C. Smith be granted permission to grade street at 18th Street and Highland Avenue under the supervision of the City Engineer and the Superintendent of Streets. Carried. 229. .Communication from Louis Nieman requesting refund of a $$5.00 deposit for the removal of a tree was read and referred to the Street Superintendent. ,Petition of property owners to have Lanoitan Avenue graded from 16th to 18th Streets was read and ordered filed. ,Petition of John R. Rago for refund of $15.00 deposit for removal of trees was read and referred to the Street Superin- tendent. ,Petition of S. Giminez to trim trees in front of his prop- erty at 1619 5th Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly that the petition be granted. Carried. ,Petition of property owners requesting the installation of a fire hydrant at the northeast corner of 13th Street and First Avenue was read and referred to the Fire Committee. ,Report of the Recorder for the month of February,1926, showing fines collected to the amount of $$1,854.00 was present- ed. ,RESOLUTION NO. 1036, calling a general municipal election to be held April 12, 1926 was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ,Moved by Addis, seconded by Cordingly that the position of First Assistant Traffic Officer be and the same is hereby declared vacated. Carried. ,Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the Fire Committee be instructed to purchase new tennis nets. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
