by the President. Trustees present --Addis, Bird, Cordinr,ly,
Fritz and Murray.
ITinutes of regular meeting of September 7, 1926, read and
approved.

.Petition of nroptrty owners to have National Avenue sur-
faced from Division to First Street was read .era referred to the
Street Department with power to act.
Ln'. J. R. Sutherlin, representative of the R. E. Campbell 8:
Company, was present regarding puttin& on the ,,180,000.00 Bond
Issue.
.The matter of a bridge at Eighth Street and 0 Avenue _
was referred to the Street Department.
.Communication from the San Diego Union regarding advertising
in the Union Annual tv., read and laic over to the next meeting.
Communication f_om Er. ano P.Lrs. August Schoening requesting
refund of $15.00 deposited for the removal of trees was read and
referred to the Street Superintendent.
,Petition of the o,vner of Austin Heights Subdivision to have
streets graded, sidewalked, curbed and &uttered and to be included
with the Highland Avenue proceedings was road ano refe:rec to the
City En ineer.

.Petition of Leonard T. Bloodito remove one tree on First
Street near F Avenue was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by
Addis that the petition be granted. Carried.
Tne matter of the ' 180,000.00 Bond Issue tl•as laid over to
the next meeting.
Map of Melrose Subdivision was lair over to the next meet-
ing.
.Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly that the City conduct
the Bond election as heretofore. Carried.
,Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis that a vote of thanks
be extended to the San Diego 0i1 Products Corporation for the
11,350 pounds of fertilizer. Carried unanimously.
.Petitions of S. A. Fritz to remove three trees at Fifth
Str-et and Highland Avenue and Albert Scttgast to remove three
trees at 90o East Fifth Street •rare read. Moved by Cordingly,
seconder! by Bird that the petitions be branded. Carried.
.Petition of property owners to have the f.rade established
on Fifth Street from the easterly line of K Avenue to the wester-
ly line of L Avenue, Sixth Street from the easterly line of K
Avenue to the westerly line of M Avenue, and L Avenue fro*r the
southerly line of Fourth Str-ct to the northerly line of Si;:th
Street was read.
,Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird thRt the City Engineer
be instructed to establish the grade of Fifth Street from the
easterly line of K Avenue to the westerly line of L Avenue, Sixth
Street from the easterly line of K Avenue to the westerly line of
M Avenue, and L Avenue from the southerly line of Fourth Street
to the northerly line of Sixth Street. Carried.
.Communication from E. C. Hamilton regarding large stump
which was hauled on his property was read and referred to the
Street Superintendent.
.Communication from C. F. Franke, 105 East 18th Street, re-
garding curbing that was cashed out was read. The Street Super-
intendent was instructed to replace curbing providing tnat prop-
erty owners would put in an apron.

FComrunication from bra. N.n Murray requesting that the
license for tool hail at 1820 Sixth Avenue be cancelled was
read and referred to the Police Department.
,Fire Department given further time regarding hydrants on
East Eighth Street.
:Finance Corrrittee given further time regarding audit of
the books.
.City Engineer given further time regarding the grading of
Lanoitan Avenue. He reported that he had b ^n advised by a
representative of the San Diego & Arizona Railway Company that
they would snoot and load the _ ir•t at 24th Street providing the
City would haul same and vould let hir; know within a reek; also
Highland
that pasty on 14th Street test of / Avenue refused to give deed
for street purpo ,s.
:sty Engineer reported that property owners on D Avenue
from loth to 12th Streets desired to have parse graded and recom-
mended that D Avenue be graded, sidewalked and curbed from 10th
to 18th Streets.
.Moved by ated, seconded by Addis that the City Attorney and
City Engineer or';pare the necessary papers to sidewalk, curb and
grade Eighteenth Str-et from Highland to National Avenue and also
grade, sidetalk, curb and gutt-,: D Avenue from loth to 18th
Streets. Cartier.
.HLSO[,UTION NO. 1070 authorizing, payment of bonded indebted-
ness due September 15, 19:6 amounting to 59,840.00 was read.
Moved by Cordinply, zeconded by Bird that the Resolution we a-
dopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.Moved by bird, seconded by Addis that the following trans-
fer.of funut be made from the_General Fund: to. the Salary
Fund, $622.62; to the Fire Fund, $2,015.68; to the Police Fund,
$1,752.01; to the Park iF:aintenance and Improvement Fund, $304.75;
;and that the City Clark anC City Treasurer be instructed to
make the necezcsryy entries upon tneir record;. Carried.
