Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present- Addis, Bird, N rdingly,
Fritz and Murray.
Minutes of regualr meeting of April 7, 1925, read and
approved.

and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried all

•Petition of L. L. Southwick to remove one tree at 5th St
and E: Ave., also petition of John H. Curry to remove seven
trees at 929 East 18th St. and petition of John Shelton to re-
move two trees at 1004 Second Ave., were read and referred to
the Street Committee

Trustees
.Petition of citizens to pave 8th Street, full width, from
East line of R Ave., to the West line of First Ave., was read
and ordered filed.
-Communication from A. Zitnik, regarding drainage at 16th
St. and Lanoitan Ave. was read and referred to the St. Committee.
_Petition of citizens to grade the Alley in Block 1, Pinney'o

Sub., by private contract, was read. Moved by Bird, sec-
onded by Ccrdingly, that the petition be granted, work to be
done under the supervision of the Street Superintendent and
City Engineer. Carried.
-•Petition of citizens to have Second Avenue graded from
from the south line of 2nd St., to the north line of 13th St.,
was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that petition
be received and placed on file. Carried.
•ORDINANCE NO. 552, Amending Section 1 of Ordinance No.
525, establishing fire limits and regulating construction of
buildings, etc., was placed on final passage and on motion by
Cordingly, seconded by Bird, same adopted, all Trustees present
voting aye.
.Bond of John T. Broderick, sidewalk builder was presented.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the bond be approved,
accepted and ordered filed. Carried.

provement of portions of Second Street, read:

referred to the City Engineer, carried.
,RESOLUTION NO. 988, ordering the closing of 19th Street,
from D to E Avenue was read. Moved by Cording'', seconded by
Bird that the resolution be adopted, carried all Trustees
present votinJ aye.
.RESOLTITION NO. 987, appointing Deputy City Assessor during
May and June 1925 was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Bird that the Resolution be adopted, carried all Trustees
present voting aye.
.Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the City Engineer
be instructed to prepare plans for the paving of 8th Street
with 5 inch concrete, also for the grading and curbing of 2nd
Avenue from 2nd Street to 13th Street and improvement of cross
Streets from 2nd to 13th Streets. Carried.
,The report of the City Engineer on bids for the improve-
ment of portions of Second Street, recommending the acceptance
of the bid of Chester 0. Nelson was read and ordered filed.
.F.ESOLUTION NO. 988 OF AWARD to Chester 0. Nelson for the
grading and other improvement of portions of Second Street was
read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution
be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution of
Arard for the grading and other improvement of portions of
Second Street be approved. Carried all Trustees present voting
aye.
