Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present- Bird, Cordingly,
Fritz and Murray. Absent- Trustee Addis.
Minutes of regular meeting of July 21, 1925, read and
approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the
Finance Committee, presented:

Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.Mrs. Mary L. Catlin, 1238 3rd Avenue, was present protest-
ing against the removal of trees in front of her property for the
construction of sidewalk and curbing. Same was referred to the
City Engineer.
'The following bide received for the paving of portions
of Eighth Street, Ninth Street and A Avenue, read and referred
to the City Engineer:

.Communications from R. F. Pommier and John H. Curry
requesting refund of deposits for removal of trees were read
and referred to the Street Superintendent.
.Communication from property owners protesting against
a nuisance claimed to exist on Seventeenth Street between Sixth
and Seventh Avenues was read and referred to the Health Officer.
• Communication from the Sutherland Stage Company regard-
ing the construction of an awning or canopy over the sidewalk
was read and referred to the President of the Board of Trustees.
• Communication from the City Recorder regarding-ntob7
ordinances was read and referred to the City Attorney.
Communication from F. A. Gee regarding appointment
as Deputy Marshal without pay was read`and ordered filed.
• Report of the Recorder for month of July, 1925,
presented and ordered filed.
• Report of -the City Engineer on bids for the paving
of portions of Eighth Street, Ninth Street and A Avenue, re-
commending the acceptance of the bid of David H. Ryan, was
read and ordered filed.
,RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 99?, Awarding contract for
the paving of portions of Eighth Street, Ninth Street and
A Avenue to David H. Ryan, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded
by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
.Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the

Resolution of Iward for the paving of portions of Eighth
Street, Ninth Street and A Avenue be approved. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
.The Street Committee reported that benches had been
installed by the Sutherland Stage Company.
.Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the City Engineer
prepare plane and specifications for the paving of Seventh Street
with 5 inch concrete. Carried.
,Bond of C. B. Offerman, Master Plumber, was presented.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the Bond be approved,
accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
.Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the petition
to marrow Seventh Street from First to Fifth Avenues be denied.
Carried.
'RESOLUTION NO. 998 OF INTENTION to Change and Establish
the grade of certain Streets and Avenues west of National Avenue
was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution
be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
'Moved by Bird, Seconded by Fritz, that the claims of
G. E. Hendrix for hauling granite, amounting to $446.00 be
allowed. Carried, by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees -
Bird, Fritz and Murray. Noe, Trustee-Cordingly.
,The President notified the members to be present at
the City Hall Monday, August loth, for the purpose of sitting
as a Board of Equalization.
.Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the City
Engineer be instructed to prepare plane and specifications for
storm drain on Fourth Street from First to Third Avenues, Carried.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
