Trueteee present --Addis, Bird, Cordingly, Fritz, end Murray. Minutes of the regular meeting of December 1, 1925, read and approved. Carried, all Trustees preeent voting aye. ,Petition of property owners in Sanitarium Place requesting the grading of Streets 5, 6, and 7, also Sanitarium Avenue from 4th to 8th Streets was read and referred to the City Engineer. ,The matter of a drain on Lanoitan Avenue north of 18th • 215. Street was referred to the Street Committee. .2e ved! by Fritz, seconded by Alois that the Fire Chief be instructed to buy supplies amounting to about $8.00, also re- pair the plumbing inside the Bui:ding and camp ground. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Petition of J.-A. Burns for an increase in salary was read. Moved by Cording,y, seconded by Bird that the petition be de- nied. Carried. .Petition of Joe A. Eller, accompanied by a deposit of $20 to remove four trees on the corner of 3rd Street and F. Avenue was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly that the peti- tion be granted. Carried. .Communication from 0. G. Austin regarding the grading of 16th Street wae read and ordered filed. •Communication from T. R. Fvarte reg_rding water pipe on Pest 7th Street wae read and referred tc the City Engineer. .Communication from the S. D. & Arizona Railway regarding culvert at llth Street was read and referred to the City Engineer. .Communication from the Board of Trustees of the Sweetwater Union High School regarding paving of Highland Avenue in front of the school property was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly that it be referred to the City Engineer to make an es- timate and report at the next meeting. Carried. .Petition of property owners requesting a new storm drain_ at 5th Street and B. Averue was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Bird that it be referred to the Street Department. Carried. Petition of property ownere on 7th Street requesting the removal of galvanized culverts was read and ordered filed. .Communication from J. H. Curry requesting refund of $20.00 for the removal of four trees was read and referred to the Street Superintendent. ,The Finance Committee reported that L. S. Evarte Company would audit the books of the City Recorder at the coat not tc ex- ceed $75.00. Carried, all Trueteee present voting aye. .The Finance Committee was given further time regarding cal- cimining Library. 'ORDINANCE NO. 559, An Ordinance creating a Planning Com- mieeion etc. was placed on final paeeage and on the motion by Bird, seconded by Addis was carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird that the President of the Board and the City Clerk be authorized to draw a warrant on the General Fund for the eur of $740.00, payment due on contract for installing storm drain or 4th Street from the Westerly line of First Avenue to the Westerly line of 3rd Avenue. Carried, all Trueteee present voting aye. -.Moved by Bird, eeccrded by Addis that the apzoirtmert of Mies Nellie Grofthold't ae Deputy City Clerk, be, end the eame hereby approved, and her salary as such Deputy City Clerk fixed at $75.00 per month, payable by warrant on the first day of each calendar month, on the General Fund, salary to cocmence en the 7th day of Decemver, 1225. Carried, all Trueteee present voting r aye. • • • .Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz that the City Attorney and City Engineer be instructed to prepare plane and specifications for the paving of 8th Street with five -inch cement concrete from the eaeterly line of A.
