Trustees present- Addis,Bird, Cordingly, Fritz and Murray. Minutes of regular meeting of December 16, 1924, read and approved. Carried by the fol- lowing vote: Ayes, Truetees Addis, Bird, Fritz and Murray. Noe, Trustee Cordingly. 140. Miss. Riggle was present complaining about a pond of water on land near 5th Street and B Avenue and requested that something be done. Same was referred to the Street Com- zeittee. .Petition of Grant Dalton to top two tress on E. 16th Street was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Cordingly, that the petition be granted. Carried. -Communication from County Health Officer Lesem regard- ing the appointment ofDr. J. L. Hiatt as Chief of the Bureau of Live Stock and Dairy Inspection was read and ordered filed. •Communication from Secretary of County League of Muni- cipalities regarding meeting was read and ordered filed. .Petition of E. F. Hollenbeck to trim trees along Grove and 20th Streets was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the petition be granted. Carried. .Report of the Recorder for month of December 1924, presented and ordered filed. .Report of the City Engineer on petition to close portion of 19th Street between D and E Avenues and recommend- ing that same be granted, was read. Moved by Cordingly, second- ed by Bird, that the report be accepted and filed and the City Attorney prepare the necessary papers for closing portion of 19th Street. Carried. -Protest of Ceoblia H. Graham against assessments for improvement of Second Street was read. Also protest of property owners against assessments for improvement of 2nd and 3rd Streets, A, E, F and G Avenues was read. RESOLUTION NO. 963, Setting time for hearing of appeals from the warrant, assessment and diagram for payment of improve- ment of portions of 2nd and 3rd Streets, A, E, F and C Avenues, was read. Moved by Bird, deconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all T raetees present voting aye. .The following bide received for construction of side- walk and curbing on portions of First Avenue, read: 141. r T a -4 V. A. A.01son, was read, and ordered filed. 'KRESOLUTION NO. 964 of Award for construction of side— walk and curbing on portions of First Avenue, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that Resolution of Award No. 964 be approved. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 142. i • a • •Bond of W. G. Willie, Master Plumber, was presented. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Bond be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried. '?P.ESOLUTION NO. 965, Authorizing the Payment of Bonded Indebtedness due January 1, 1925, amounting to $1163.13, *as read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 966, Directing the City. Clerk to notify the Potter Radiator Corporation to grade 6th Avenue, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Truetees present voting aye. '!RESOLUTION NO. 967, Directing the City Clerk to notify the San Diego & Arizona Railway Company to grade 6th Avenue, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. <RESOLUTION N0. 968, Establishing the grade of Grove Street between the Southerly line of 18th Street and Southerly line of 22nd Street; 22nd Street between the Westerly line of Grove Street produced Southerly and the Easterly line of Prospect Street produced Northerly; and Prospect Street between Southerly line of 22nd Street and Northerly line of 24th Street, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. *RESOLUTION N0. 969, Ordering the Closing of the Easterly 40 feet of J Avenue between let and 2nd Streets; all of K Avenue between lst and 2nd Streets, and Alleys in Blocks 3 and 4 of Jordan's Subdivision, 20 Acre Lot 1, 4 Section 131, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. RESOLUTION N0. 970, Accepting Deed of the Union Trust Co. for certain lands for street purposes in 80 Acre Lot 1, LL Section 129, was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz, -J that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 143. w- 4 • ✓RESOLUTION NO. 971, Adopting Plat of District for grading and other improvement of Second Street, Highland to Laurel Avenues, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Addis, Bird, Fritz and Murray. Noe, Trustee Cordingly. ,The Police Committee recommended that the salary of the Recorder be raised to $100.00 per month. Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz, that the City Attorney prepare the necessary papers raising salary of City Recorder to $100.00 per month. Carried. .The matter of flood gates on 24th Street near 6th Avenue was referred to the Street Committee. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Board adjourn. Carried. ATTEST: bity Clerk.
