Trtetees present- Addis, Bird, Fritz and Murray. Trustee Cordingly absent. Minutes of regular meeting of September 15, 1925, read and approved. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Mr. W. B. Johnson requested permission to trim pepper tree in front of his property. Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz, the the request be granted, work_to be done under the supervis- ion of the Street Superintendent.•Cartied. Mr. D. E. Lozier stated that Contractor Ryan had broken 4 drain pipe at entrance to alley:on 8th street. -Same referred to the Street Superintendent. 19L r t a Mr. Dawson, representing the Chamber of Commerce, was present to secure financial help towards advertising in the San Diego Union Annual. Laid over to next meeting. Petition of the Julian Petroleum Corporation for tide land lease read and ordered filed. Petition of T. P. Frazer for an increase of 025.00 per month was read and referred to the Finance Committee. Petition of property owners to pave First Avenue, from 4th to 13th Streets was read and referred to the City Engineer. Petition of property owners to pave loth Street from First Avenue to Highland Avenue, read and referred to City Engineer. Petition of David H. Ryan for an extension of 30 days time to complete the paving of portions of 8th and 9th Streets and A Avenue was read. RESOLUTION NO. 1006, granting David H. Ryan 30 days ex' - tension of time was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried all Trustees present voting aye. Petition 0f Chester 0. Nelson for an extension of 30 days time to complete work on 2nd Street, from Highland to Laurel avenue was read. '"REPOLUTION NO. 1007, granting Chester 0. Nelson 30 days extension of time was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritp, thet the Resolution be adopted. Carried all Trustees present voting aye. Report of the City Engineer, recommending that portion of J Avenue, between l6th and 17th streets, be closed waso read. Moved by Frit., seconded by Bird that the report be accepted, carried. Report of the Recorder for the month of September 1925, presented and ordered filed. Report of the City Clerk amd City Treasurer for the quarter ending September 30, 1925, presented and ordered filed. Bond of Lloyd Murray, master plumber presented. Moved by s 1913. 4 Addis, seconded Bird, that the Bond be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried. 555, ORDINANCE NOl fixing the salary of Fire Marshal was plac- ed on final passage and on motion by Bird, aeconded by Addis, same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye. 'ORDINANCE NO. 556, defining assault and battery and fix- ing a penalty, was placed on final passage and on motion by Bird, seconded by Addis, same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye. 'RESOLUTION NO. 1008, approving Diagram for paving por- tions of Eighth Street, Ninth Street and A Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried all Trustees present voting aye. 'RESOLUTION NO. 1009, approving Diagram for grading and other improvement of Second Street from Highland to Laurel Avenues was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted, carried all Trustees present voting aye. /RESOLUTION NO. 1010, approving Plans and Specifications for construction of an oil and rock dust surface on oil macadam pavement and directing the City Clerk to advertise for bids for same was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis, that the Res- olution be adopted, carried all Trustees present voting aye. 'RESOLUTION NO. 1011, authorizing payment of 25% of cost of paving portion° of Eighth Street, Ninth Street and A Avenue, amounting to $2542.14 was read. Moved by Bird seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted, carried all Trustees present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 1012, establishing the grade of Twelfth Street from National to Fourth Avenues was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted, carried all Trustees present voting aye. 'RESOLUTION NO. 1013, establishing the grade of Thirteenth Street from Fifth to Seventh Avenues was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted, carried all Trustees present voting aye. r 199. r • RESOLUTION NO. 1014, changing and establishing the grade of certain Syreets and Avenues West of National Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted, carried all Trustees present voting aye. • Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis, that the Street Super- intendent be authorized to employ extra help and a Truck to repair Streets.
