Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the Preeident. Trustees present- Bird, Cordingly, Fritz
and Murray. Trustee Addis, absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of August 18, 1925, read and
approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the Finance
Committee, presented:

Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.The following bids received for the conetruction of
storm drain on Fourth Street, read:

J. T. BRODERICK $1480.00
CHESTER 0. NELSON $1539.00
Same were referred to the City Engineer.

.Communication from the Recorder regarding audit of
books, was read and ordered filed.
,Report of the Recorder for month of August 1925
presented and ordered filed.
.Budget of the Naticnal City Library was read and
ordered filed.
,Petition of property owners for street light at
Second Avenue and Tenth Street was read and referred to
Trustee Cordingly.
.Petition of property owners to pave, by private
contract, portion of Fighth Street from Westerly line of
A Avenue to the Westerly line of Alley between B and C
Avenues, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird,
that the petition be granted, work to be done under the
supervision of the City Engineer and Superintendent of
Streets. Carried.
.Petition of property owners to have Sixth Street
paved with 5 inch concrete from First Avenue to the Westerly
line of K Avenue, was read and referred to the City Engineer.
,Report of the City Engineer on bide for construction
of a 24 inch storm drain on Fourth Street, recommending the
acceptance of bid of J. T. Broderick, was read and laid over.
The Street Superintendent reported that the trees
planted by William Garrick were groting nicely. Moved by
Fritz, seconded by Bird, that a warrant be drawn in favor of
William Garrick for $20.00, being refund of deposit for re-
moval of trees. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.The Finance Committee recommended that an increase
of salary of Fire Marshal be granted. Moved by Cordingly,
seconded by Fritz, that the City Attorney be instructed to
prepare an ordinance changing salary of Fire Marshal from
S150.00 to $200.00 per month. Carried.
kThe Committee on ornamental lights was given further
time.

.Bond of Mark T. Skinner, Master Plumber, was
presented. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the
Bond be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 1001, Approving Map of Hi11e of
Paradise Subdivision was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded
by Fritz, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.ORfINANCE NO. , An Ordinance Fixing the Rate and
Levying the Taxes for Fiscal Year 1925-1926, was read. Moved
by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that it be introduced and laid
over under the rules and according to law. Carried.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the Board
adjourn to Thursday, September 10, 1925, at 7:30 P. M.
Carried.
