that tne proposition be accepted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
'Mr. Frarcls Cumrr±nge ,rae present and requested that some
action be -taken regardira the opening of P Avenue north of Fth
Street. Fame was referred tc the City Engineer.

.Communication from the Chula vista Citrus Association
requesting that the Board of Trustees officially disclaim any
public interest for street purposes in that ;art of 22nd Street
lying. between 9th Avenue and the alley no being used by the
San D_egc Si Arizona Railway Company, Fars read and ordered filed.
,Report of the City Engineer regarding the petition to
close portion of 22nd Street from 8th Avenue west to the alley
in Blocks 27E and 272, stating that he would recommend the
closing of the street, excepting- the alley, from 3th to 9th
Avenues, providing the Chula Vista Citrus Association would
o oini the other petitioners, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded
by Addis, that the report of the City Engineer be accepted, and
the City Attorney instructed tc prepare the necessary papers
for the closing of 22nd Street from Eth to 9th Avenues, except-
ing the alley, expenses of same tc be borne by the petitioners.
Carried.
.Petition of Mrs. L. M. Stuart with g1;5.00 attached, request-
ing permisei:n to remove the Black Acacia in front of her prop-
erty and put in. twc Plumcsa Palms, was read. Moved by Edgerton,
seconded by Murray, that the petition be granted. Carried.
.Petiti,nn of Adolph Levi, Edgar m. Levi and H. G. Fenton
to close the alley in Block 16, was read and referred to City
Engineer.
.Petition of A. C. Arnold to grade the alley between 4
and E Avenues and 3th and 9th Streets, was read. Moved by
Addis, seconded by Edgerton, that the petition be granted,
work to be done under the supertision of the Street Superin-
tendent and City F-;ineer. Carried.

the City Engineer regarding the petition of
property owners to grade 2nd and 4th Streets from let to 3rd
Avenues, by private contract, recommending granting the same,
if streets are graded to official grade and the necessary cul-
verts and drains are installed, was read and ordered filed.
.Bond of L. E. C. Smith as Sidewalk Builder was presented.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray, that the Bond be approved,

'Bond of Edward Pohde, Master Plumber, was presented.
Moved by Fritz, eecorded by Edgerton, that the Bond be approved,
accepted and ordered filed. Catried.

J.ESOLUTI:N NO. 870, Authorizing Payment of Bonded Indebt—
edness due April 1, 1924, amounting to "1030.00, was read.
Moved by :''array, seconded by Fritz, that the resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,,FFOLLTICN NO. 871, Granting permission to Levi and Fenton
to grade by private contract 2nd and 4th Streets from let to
3rd Avenues, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray,
that the Iesoliti:n be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
J(RFSOLUTION N0. 872, Setting a time for the hearing of
protest of property owners against proposed improvement of
2nd and 3rd Streets, A, E, F and G Avenues, was read. Moved
by Edgerton, seconded by Addis, that the resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
J,RESCLUTION NO. 873, Ordering the changing and establishment
of the grade of lEth Street and the establishment of grade of
GranR-er Avenue, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Edgerton,
that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
.RESOLUTION NO. 874, AF.pointing William Garrick Deputy Fire
Marshal and Inspector of Electricity, and fixing his salary at
$ 120.00 per calendar month, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded
by Fritz, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Addle, that the Board
ad2ourn. Carried.
