Trustees present- Addis, Bird, Cordingly, Fritz and Murray. Minutes of adjourned meeting of July 22, 1924, read and approved. Carried. .Petition of S. Peterson to Avenue was read. Moved by Bird be referred to Street Committee 'Report of the Recorder for presented and ordered filed. 'An assignment of Tide Land assignee of C. F. Guthridge, to trim one tree at 1027 Second , seconded by Addis, that it with power to aot. Carried. the month of July, 1924, was Lease by Lane D. Webber, the City of National City was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the same be accepted. Carried. •ORDINANCE NO. , Authorizing the Members of the Board of Trustees of the City of National City to enter into a Lease with the Potter Radiator Corporation for certain Tide Lando was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that it be introduced and laid over under the rules and according to law. Carried. ,The following bid received for the improvement of portions of Second and Third Streets, A2 E, F and G Avenues, read: A. G. FENTON Excavation, per cubic yard 500 Embankment, per cubic yard 110 Cement Concrete sidewalks, per square foot 200 Cement Concrete curbing, per lineal foot 63# Cement Concrete gutter, per square foot 830 Construction of all culverts including headwalls, wingwalls, and aprons, all complete $2300.00 .Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the bid be referred to the City Engineer. Carried. .The following bide received for paving of portions of Eighteenth Street and Granger Avenue, read: 101. r • CARL S. CARLSON 2 incz bituminous macadam pavement per square foot RING S. Carried. .Petition of property owners to 12th Streets graded, was read. Addis, that it be referred to the .Petition of property owners 10.4# 9.4st 9-8/10 Cents referred to to have 6th Avenue from 8th Moved by Bird, seconded by City Engineer. Carried. to close portions of 7th, 8th and 9th Avenues, loth, llth and 12th Streets, also the Alleys in Blocks 202, 246, 245, 268, 247 and 369, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that it be referred to the City Engineer. Carried. .Petition of property owners to close Alley in Block 4, National Avenue Terrace, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that it be referred to the City Engineer. Carried. .RESOLUTION NO. 920, Accepting Deeds from E. A. McLean and Wife, and Ed Willoughby and Wife and D. E. Lozier and Wife, for Certain Parcels of Land for street purposes, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. I' Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Report of the City Engineer on the bid for improvement of portions of Second and Third Streets, A, E, F and G Avenues, was read and ordered filed. -RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 921 to H. G. Fenton for the im- provement of portions of Second and Third Streets, A, E, F and G Avenues, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 102. .Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution of Award for the improvement of -portions of Second and Third Streets, A, E, F and G Avenues be approved. Carried, all Trueteee present voting aye. .Report of the City Engineer on the bids for the paving of portions of Eighteenth Street and Granger Avenue was read and ordered filed. .Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz, that the bide be laid over until the next meeting. Carried. ✓RESOLUTION BO. 922 OF INTENTION to close portions of 7th, 8th and 9th Avenues, loth, llth and lath Streets, and the Alleys in Blooke 302, 246, 245, 247, 268 and 369 was read. Moved by Bird, eeoonded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ?RESOLUTION NO. 923, Closing the Alleys in Blocks 61 to 71 inclusive, Blockel122 to 126 inclusive, Block 136 and Block 135, excepting the Northerly 25 feet of the alley in said Block 135, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. tCommunioation from San Diego & Arizona Railway Company regarding petition for railway spur and team traok was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that it be laid over. Carried. -Communication from Vreeland Everts & Company regarding an examination of the records of the City Recorder was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that it be referred to the Finance Committee. Carried. •Communication from Walter K. Mitchell, Certified Public Accountant, regarding audit of the City Books for the fiscal year was read and ordered filed. -Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that whereas all the Bonds have been fully paid, to pay which Sinking Fund No. 3 of this City was created, and there remains in said Fund the , 103. Y' 6 balance of "43.85, that said balance be and the same is hereby transferred to the General Fund and the proper officers of said City are hereby directed to make the necessary entries to fully carry out eaid transfer. Carried. .Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that whereas there is a balance of $7,438.73 in the Municipal Street Improvement Bond Fund of 1930 and all the work provided to be done in the pro- ceedings leading up to the issuance of these bonds has been done, accepted and paid for and eaid balance still remains, that the same be and is hereby transferred to the General Fund of said City, and the proper officers of said City are hereby directed to make the necessary entries to fully carry out said transfer. Carried. •Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the sum of #370.56 received from fines in violation of the State Motor Vehicle Act and erroneously placed in the General Fund be and the same is hereby transferred to a fund to be known as the Street Improvement Fund which is hereby created, and that the sum of $6,588.50 re- ceived from fines in violation of the State Motor Vehicle Act and erroneously plaoed in the Street Fund be and the same is hereby transferred to the eaid epecial fund known as the Street Improve- ment Fund, and the proper officers of eaid City are hereby directed to rried. make the necessary entries to fully carry out said transfers. ca Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the Board adjourn.
