Trustees present- Addis, Bird, Cordingly and Fritz. Murray absent. Moved by Cordingly, eeconded by Fritz, that Trustee Addis act as President pro tem. Carried. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ,Mr. J. M. Glass was present and requested permission to cut driveway through curb on Lot 6, Block 3, Kimball's Subdivision in 10 Acre Lot 1, v Section 154. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the request be granted. Carried. .Mr. Charles C. Crouch, representing King S. Heath, presented certain court decisions and aleo new bond in connection with, the improvement of pertione of Eighteenth Street and Granger Avenue. ,Petition of Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Rai1*ay Company to construct a railway track across Nineteenth and Twenty-fourth 105. 1 • 4 Streets was read and referred to the City Engineer and City Attorney. %Communication from A. L. Sherman appealing from -the modified assessment for the improvement of portions of B, C and D Avenues was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly, that the communication be filed. Carried. ,Communication from the Board of Library Trustees enclosing budget for the fiscal year 1924-25 amounting to $2,990.00 was read and ordered filed. ,Report of the City Engineer regarding the petition of property ownere to have Sixth Avenue graded from Eighth to Twelfth Streets and recommending that same be granted was read and ordered filed. •Report of the City Engineer regarding protest of property owners against certain assessments for the improvement of K Avenue was read and ordered filed. .Report of the City Engineer regarding the petition to close Alley in Block 4, National Avenue Terrace Subdivision, and recommending that the petition be granted was read and ordered filed. ,Protest of M. Gertrude Meriam, filed with the City Clerk August 18, 1924, in the matter of the improvement of Second and Third Streets, A, E and F Avenues wae read. ,RESOLUTION NO. 924, Denying protest of M. Gertrude Meriam against the improvement of portions of Second and Third Streets, A, E and F Avenues wae read. Moved by Fritz, seoonded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. • Deed from the Union Trust Company to quit claim certain portions of 80 Acre Lot 1, a Section 129, Nat'l. Ro. for a strip of land Twenty feet in width was presented and laid over. . ORDINANCE NO. , Authorizing the Members of the Board of Trustees of the City of National City to enter into a lease with the Potter Radiator Corporation for certain Tide 106. .' Lands was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that it be introduced and laid over under the rules and according to law. Carried.
