Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trueteee present- Bird, Cordingly and Murray.
Absent, Trustees Addis and Fritz.
Minutes of regular adjourned meeting of December 4, 1924,
read and approved.

Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trueteee
present voting aye.
.Petition of property owners to close portion of 19th Street
between D and E Avenues was read and referred to the City Engineer.
-RESOLUTION NO. 958, Establishing the grade of Second
Avenue between Division and Thirteenth Streets was read. Moved
by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trueteee present voting aye.

.Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the City
Attorney prepare a resolution notifying property owners on
Sixth Avenue from Eighth to Thirteenth Streets that unless
they proceed to grade same by private contract, proceedings
will be started to do same under the Vrooman Act. Carried.
.Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the prop-
erty owners fronting on the Alley in Block 1, Parson's Sub-
division, 10 Acre Lot 8, v Section 155, be granted permission
to pave same according to specifications furnished by the
City Engineer, 100 feet North of Eighth Street. Carried.
?RESOLUTION NO. 959, Granting Franchise to the San
Diego & Arizona Railway Company to construct spur track
upon portions of Ninth Avenue was placed on final passage
and on motion by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, same adopted,
all Trustees present voting aye.

ESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 960, to Close Alley running
Northeasterly and Southwesterly and the Alley running North-
westerly and Southeasterly in Block 4, National Avenue Terrace
Subdivision was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.

.RESOLUTION NO. 961, Repealing Resolution No. 741, and
Appointing Traffic Policemen and Fixing their Salary was read.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.ORDINANCE NO. , Amending Section 1 of Ordinance
No. 528 and Fixing Salary of the Fire Marshal was read. Moved
by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that it be introduced and laid
over under the rules and according to law. Carried.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the resig-
nation of Dr. William D. Rolph, Health Officer, be accepted to
take effect December 31, 1924. Carried.

.RESOLUTION NO. 962, Authorizing a Contract with the
County of San Diego for a period of six months beginning Jan.
1, 1925, to perform all the functions relating to public health
within the corporate limits of the City of National City, etc.
was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting
aye.
•Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the sum of
$2111.56 be transfered from the Street Improvement Fund to
the General Fund, and the proper officers be instructed to
make the necessary entries upon their records. Carried.
