Trustees present- Addis, Edgerton, Fritz, Murray and Boulette. Minutes of regular meeting of Jan. 15, 1924, read and approved. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Petition of Citizens requesting the abatement of nuisance at the corner of 12th Street and First Avenue was read. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Murray, that it be referred to the Health Committee Carried. 'Petition of and Health Officer to look into and take action. Mrs. Harold Duncan to top two Eucalyptus trees at 623 C Avenue was read. Moved by Murray, secomded by Addis, 44. that the petition be granted. Carried. •Petition of E. E. Hollenbeck to remove Eucalyptus trees along Grove and Twentieth Streets was read and referred to the Finance Committee. •Petition of property owners to have Second Street graded from Highland Avenue to Laurel Street was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz, that it be referred to City Engineer. Carried. .Petition of property owners to make L Avenue from Sixteenth Street to Twenty-fourth Street Sixty feet instead of Eighty feet was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that it be referred to City Engineer. Carried. •Communication from Mrs. Stephen N. Hurd to withdraw name from petition to narrow L Avenue was read and ordered filed. _Petition of property owners to close alley in block 2 of J. U. O'Connell'e Te %Subdivision was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray, that it be referred to City Engineer. Carried. .Petition of Firemen to have A. L. Shadduck appointed Fire Chief, also applications of James A. Bird and W. B. • Adams for position of Fire Chief were read. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Addis, that the petitions be filed, Carried. .Petiticn of L. B. Tuoker for position as C.retakaz7of Park was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Edgerton, that the petition be filed. Carried. .Report of Recorder for month of January, 1924, presented and ordered filed. •The City Engineer to whom the petition for the closing of alley in block 9, Wilbur's Sub. was referred, reported that he would recommend that the alley be not closed. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Murray, that the report be accepted. Carried. 1 , + LARDINANCE TO. 535, amending Ordinance No. 523, providing for certain requirements in relation to the acceptance of 45. plate and maps of subdivisions into lots and streets, was placed on final passage, and on motion by Addis, seconded by Murray, same adopted, all Trueteee present voting aye. *Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis, that the following named Citizens be appointed as members of the Board of Health for the ensuing year: Dr. William D. Rolph, R. B. Bagnall, C. B. Ireland, A. B. Kimball and T. LeRoy Richards. Carried. I.RESOLUTION No. 850, adopting plat of district for the grading and other improvement of portions of I Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. !F.ESOLUTION NO. 851 OF INTENTION for the grading and other improvement of portions of I Avenue was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 'KRESOLUTION NO. 853, adopting plat of district for the grading and other improvement of portions of K Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 1.RESOLUTION No. 853 OF INTENTION for the grading and other improvement of portions of K Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, eeoonded by Addis, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trueteee present voting aye. ".RESOLUTION NO. 854, authorizing the proper officials to draw a warrant in favor of the Pioneer Truck Company for $3100.50 being 75% of the contract price for the paving of portion of Eighth Street, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ',RESOLUTION NO. 855, ordering the changing and establishment of the grade of portions of Second Street was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trueteee present voting aye. LRESOLUTION N0. 856 OF INTENTION to change and establish the grade of portions of Eighteenth Street and to establish the 46. 1 0 grade of Granger Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. •OPDINANCE NO. , amending section 2 of Ordinance No. 463, and consolidating the offices of Deputy Fire .Marshal and Inspector of Electricity, and specifying certain duties to be performed by the officer appointed to said offices, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis, that -it be intro— duced and laid over under the rules and according to law. Carried. .OP.DINANCE NO. , amending sections 4, 5 and 6 of Ordinance No. 497, and fixinff the compensation of certain officers was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Edgerton, that it be introduced and laid over under the rules and according to law. Motion loot. Ordinance was again presented•_, . Carried. •Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that William Garrick be and he is hereby appointed Inspector of Electricity and shall receive no salary but such feee ae provided by ordinance. Carried. .Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the position of Fire Marshal be declared vacant. Carried. .Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz, that James A.
