Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present— Addis, Fritz, Murray and
Boulette. Edgerton absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of March 4, 1924, read and
approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the Finance

Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the bills
be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.Mr. James Maxwell requested permission to top four trees
at 14th Street and Third Avenue. Moved by Murray, seconded by
Addis, that the petition be granted. Carried.
.Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the owners of
Lincoln Acres Orchard Subdivision_ be given permission to drag
streets under the supervision of the City Engineer. Carried.
.Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the City Engineer
be instructed to establish grade of Twenty—second Street from
GroverStreet to Prospect Street. Carried.
_Petitions of the Stauffer Chemical Company and the National
City Chemical Company to close Twenty—second Street from Eighth
Avenue to the alley in Blocks 278 and 279, were read and referrdd
to the City Engineer.

. Communication from L. S. Brown regarding improvements
on Third Street was read and referred to City Engineer and
Superintendent of Streets.
, Communication from J. B. Fletcher requeet1ng that he
be appointed Deputy Marehal without pay, was read and ordered
filed.
'Proteete of property owners against the proposed improve-
ments on G Avenue from Fourth Street to Second Street; Third
Street from D Avenue to Highland Avenue; Third Street from
First Avenue to D Avenue; and A Avenue between Second and
Third Streets, were read and referred to City Engineer.
• ORDI?A7CE PTO. , regarding the Balance of Bored Issue
of July :7 „ 1930, was laid over.
✓.0RDIPTAPTCE NO. 538, Providing a System for Assessing, Levy-
ing and Collecting Taxes and Repealing Ordinance No. 444, was
placed on final passage, and on motion by Fritz, seconded by
Murray, same adopted, all Trustees preeent voting aye.
•Bond of Frank M. Chase, Master Plumber, was presented.
Moved by Fritz, eeconded by Murray, that the bond be approved,
accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
',RESOLUTIOPT NO. 867, Authorizing Payment of Bonded Indebt-
edness due larch 15th, amcanting to $4200.00, was read. Moved
by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
J,RESOLUTION NO. 868, Ordering the grading and other improve-
ment of I Avenue from the Southerly line of Fourth Street to the
Northerly Gutter line of Eighth Street, was read. Moved by
Fritz, seconded by Murray, that the resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
