Trusteee present- Addis, Bird, Cordingly, Fritz and Murray. Minutes of regular adjourned meeting of Sept.23,1924, read and approved. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Mr. F. J. Thatcher was present and submitted plans for alterations of building in the fire limits at the corner of Eighth Street and National Avenue. Same referred to the City Engineer. 118. 'Petition of Dr. W. D. Ralph for increase of salary was read and referred to the Finance Committee. ,Communication from the National City Chamber of Commerce recommending that decomposed granite be used for cross walks at intersections was read and ordered filed. .Petition of the Blackman Terminals, Inc. asking for an extension of one years time in which to complete im- provements provided for in lease of Tide Lands was read and referred to the City Attorney. 'Reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer for quarter ending September 30, 1924, presented and ordered filed. .Report of the Recorder for month of 8eptember,1924, presented and ordered filed. 'The City Marshal requested that there be an increase in the accomodations for the City Jail. Same referred to the Police Committee. 'Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis, that the matter of amending the building ordinance be referred to the Finance Committee. Carried. •Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the City Clerk be instructed to draw warrant on the Genefhl Fund in favor of Mrs. Stuart for $5.00. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. !ORDINANCE NO. 546, Closing certain Streets, Avenues, and Alleys for the Potter Radiator Corporation was placed on final passage, and on motion by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye. Deed from the Ution Trust Company for twenty foot strip of land in k Section 129 was returned to Mr. Fleming. ,HESOLUTION NO. 934, Repealing Resolution No. 792 and fixing salary of J. A. Burns was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 119. ,RESOLUTION NO. 935, and objection of Osborn G. Sixteenth Street was read. that the Resolution be ado Denying and Overruling protest Austin regarding improvement of Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis, pted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. (RESOLUTION NO. 936, Directing City Engineer to furnish diagram for improvement of portions of Second and Third Streets, A,E, F and G Avenues was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to advertise for bide for one one -ton Ford Truck equipped with a Martin Parry Dump Body with gear hoist, Ruckstell Axle and 33 inch by 5 inch Goodyear All Weather cord tires in rear; also one Fordson Tractor without fenders, equipped with a set of Johnson track layer tracks.
