Trustees present, - Edgerton, Fritz, Murray and Boulette. Addis absent. Minutes of adcourned meeting of July 31, 1923 read and approved. Carried, all Trustees preeent voting aye. Dr. Rolph was preeent and requested permission to re- move palms in parking in front of Mrs. Fly& property at National Avenue and Seventh Street. Same was referred to the Street Committee. 10. • Comirunication from P. E. Harper requesting that one member of :e Board be selected to act on a committee re— garding the possible consolidation of the Bay Cities with San Diego. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Frttz that Trustee Murray be appointed to act on this committee. •Petition from J. J. La Porte requesting an increase of r25.00 per month in salary, was read and referred to the Finance Comrittee. - Communication from Mary J. Noyes regarding delinquent tax certificate No. 50 for 1895 tax was read and referred to the City Attorney. • Commvinication from J. H. Peer requesting refund of 1922-1923 tax, was read. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Murray that the request be denied. • Petition of Mrs. T. E. Choate requesting permission to remove eucalyptus trees at 918 E. lath St. 'vas read and referred to the Street Committee. •Report of the Recorder for the month of July, 192.3 was presented and ordered filed. -Petition of Clof Nelson for an extension of time to complete contract for paving certain stripe on National Avenue, was read. /RESOLUTION NO. 824 Granting Clof Nelson an extension of forty days time to complete contract for paving certain strips on National Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Edgerton that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees preeent voting aye. ✓•RESOLUJTION NO. 825 Approving Diagram of City Engineer of property effected and benefited by grading and other improvement of portions of 5th, 6th and 7th Streets, was read. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Fritz that the Reso— lution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. i • • • . Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Murray that the City Marshal be instructed to notify property owners on First Avenue from Division to 14th Street, loth Street from National Avenue to First Avenue, 13th Street from National Avenue to First Avenue and also Main Street to put in sidewalk and curbs.
