Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Petition of Citizens for a street light at the inter- section of Sixth Rtreet and B Avenue vas read and referred to the Street Committee. Petition of property ovmers to have 18th Street graded from National to D Avenues, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Bculette, that it be referred to the City Engin- eer. Carried. •Report of the Recorder for the month of January, 1923 was presflnted and ordered filed. The -Finance Committee reported that they did not con,. eider it advisable to buy the fixtures in the hall over the City Hall. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the rerort be accepted. Carried. The Street Committee recommended that the request for removal of brush -at 2nd street and National Averue be denied. :ioved by Murray, seconded by Addis, that the report be accepted. Carried. The Finance Committee to whom the matter of paving, etc. was referred, recommended about four miles cf paving as follows: l8th Street from P Avenue to 660 feet East cf the East line of Quarter Section 12E; 18th Street from Highland Avenue to National Avenue; 24th Street from Highland Avenue to N Avenue; 8th Street from National Avenue to 7th Avenue and from Paradise Valley Sanitarium, tc, the Easterly City Limits; 7th Avenue from Division Street to 13th Street; 4th Street from National Averue to Highland Avenue and from L Avenue to Q Avenue; also the construction of a new City Hall, purchase cf new fire apparatus, and construction of a pleasure pier at the foot of 8th Street, and suggest a Bond Issue of $100,000.00. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Murray that the report be accepted. Carried. OFDINANCE No. 520, Anending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 511, bonds cf City Officers, was placed on final passage and on motion by Fritz, seconded by Murray, eame adopted, ail Trustees present voting aye. 202. ✓ •OP? IFA_PTCE NO. 521, to Pretert Keeping certain Animals and Domestic Fowls ^ithin fifteen feet of any building used for dwelling purposes, was 'laced on final passage, and on motion ray Murray, seconded by Addis, same adopted all Trustees present voting aye. -The following bids for the construction of toilets, etc. :n the City- Park, were received: R. COKER: Construction of building, toilets and septic tank, according to plane- S735.00; digging well- r3.50 per foot;All 1e inch water ripe from main to house over 100 lineal feet at 350 per lineal foot extra. F. J. THATCHER: To building toilets, septic tank according to plans and specifications- $"583.00; digging well- $3.25 per foot. Bide were referred to the City Engineer. -ORDINANCE NO. Establishing Fire L'_rits and regulating construction of buildings, etc. on motion by Fritz, seconded by Goulette, same laid over to next meeting. Carried. Bonds of Charles Roberts, F. M. Chase, S. Yr. Ford and J. E.Miller, Master Plumbers, were preserted. Moved by Roulette, seconded by Murray that the bonds be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Deed from L. P. Spicer and Wife to the City of National City for certain lands for street purposes in 40 Acre T,ot 2, Quarter Section 131, was presented. Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis, that deed be accepted.Carried. i /-RESOLUTION PTO. 785, Directing the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for raving unpaved strips on National Avenue, '_st to 6ith Streets, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Roulette that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trusteee present voting aye. ✓ RESOLUTION FO. 786 Ordering the work of Grading and other improvement of portions of Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Streets, was read. Moved by Roulette, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 203. 'Report of the City Engineer regarding bids for con- struction of toilets, etc. in City Park,recomwending the acceptance of bid of F. J. Thatcher, was read and ordered filed. ORDINAINCE NO. , An Ordinance Repealing Ordinance No. 198 in relation tc the acceptance of plate and maps of subdivisions, was read. Moved by Roulette, seconded by Murray, that it be introduced and laid over under the rules and according to law. Carried. .ORDINANCE NO. , An Ordinance providing for certain requirements in relation to the acceptance of plats and maps of subdivisions, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that it be introduced and laid over under the rules and according to law. ✓, RESOLTITIOM OF AWARD NO. 787 for the construction of toilets, etc. in the City Park, to F. J. Thatcher, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye: 'Moved by Murray, seconded by Boulette, that the Fire Marshal be instructed to have toilets at the Fire Hall rer-- paired.
