Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present- Addis, Edgerton,
Fritz, Murray and Boulette.
Minutes of regular meeting of May 15, 1923 read and
approved.

Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
Mr. E. H. Gray Was present and requeeted permission to
remove one eucalyptus tree at 421 E Avenue. Same was referred
to the Street Committee.

.Communication from the Secretary of the Merchants
Association at Coronado, was read. :coved by Edgerton,
seconded by Murray, that the President of the Board be
elected a deligate to the League of California Municipalities
meeting at Coronado. Carried.
Communication from the Secretary of the Library Board
requesting the reappointment of Mrs. Thelen, was read. Moved
by Fritz, seconded by Alois, that firs. 3anny J. Thelon be
appointed Library Trustee , effective July 1, 1923. Carried.
,Petition of Geo. Meyer for a transfer of Pool License,
was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded 'oy Addis, that the
petition be granted. Carried.
-Report of the Recorder for the month of May, 1923, was
presented and ordered filed.
-Report of the City Engineer regarding bids for paving
strips on National Avenue, let to 6th Streets, was read and
ordered filed.
/_RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 809 Awarding Contract for paving
certain stripe on National Avenue to Olof Adelson, was read.
Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,Moved by FTitz, seconded by Murray that the Resolution
of Award to Olof Nelson be ar?.roved. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
:Moved by Fritz, seconded by Edgerton, that a Street
Light be placed on 8th Street at Arcadia Avenue. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
-The Police Committee reported that they would recommend
no change in the salary of the Recorder. Moved by Murray,. -
seconded by Fritz that the report be accepted. Carried.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the Street
Superintendent be requested to notify Joe Whittingham to
replace sidewalk in front of property owned by Thos. L. Love.
Carried.

Armex No. 3, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
preeent voting aye.
/ - RESOLUTION NO. 811 Approving Map of Lincoln Acres
Annex No. 4, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees pre-
sent voting aye.
J RESOLUTION NO. 812 Ordering the work of Construction of
sidewalk and curbs on Ninth Street, was read. Moved by
EdRerton, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
[ RESOLUTION NO. 813 Accepting certain deeds for street
purposes, portions cf 2nd and 3rd Streets and D, E and F
Avenues, was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Edgerton,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
ORDINANCE NO. Calling a Special Election to be
held July 17, 1923, submitting to the voters propositions
for the incurring of bonded indebtedness, amounting to
$157,500.00, was read. Moved by Edgerton, secrrded by
Murray that it be introduced and laid over under the rules
and according to law. Carried.
.ORDINANCE NO. to provide specifications for
the construction of sidewalks and curbs and repealing
Ordinance No. 341 and 516, was read. Moved by Fritz, sec-
onded by Edgerton, that it be introduced and laid over under
the rules and according to law. Carried.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Edgerton, that the request
to use streets July 3rd and 4th be granted the American
Legion and that the Trustees will render whatever aid they
can. Carried.
Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Fritz, that the Board
,adjourn to Tuesday, June 12th, 1923, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
Carried.
