Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,- Addis, Boulette,
Fritz, Murray and Edgerton.
Minutes of regular meeting of Feb. 20, 1923 read and
approved.

Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the bille be
allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the sum of
$500.00 be transferred from the General Fund to the Library
Fund. Carried.

Petition of G. A. Bushert for increase in salary
was read and referred to the Street Committee.
Petition of property owners requesting that 20th
Street be opened between C and D Avenues, was read and re-
ferred to tht Street Committee.
Report of the Recorder for the month of February, 1923,
was presented and ordered filed.
Report of the City Engineer and Street Superintendent
accepting the work of construction of toilets, etc. in the
City Park, was read and ordered filed.
Report of the City Engineer regarding bide for the
grading and other improvement of portions of 5th, 6th and
7th Streets, was read and ordered filed.
.The Street Committee to whom the petition of Olive
L. Ellis regarding drainage at 24th and National Avenue
was referred reported that nothing could be done. Moved
by Fritz, seconded by Murray,ythat the petition be denied.
Carried.
The City Attorney reported regarding the communication
from Paul Granger in regard to the building removed
by the Fire Marshal, and stated that it was simply a matter
between Mr. Granger and the Fire Marshal.
'William E. Cloe requested permission to remove pepper
tree in front of property on 4th and I Avenue, stating that
he would replace with other trees. Moved by Boulette,
seconded by Fritz, that the petition be granted. Carried.
The Pacific Tel. & Tel. Co. requested permission to
trim twenty eucalyptus treee on the north Bide of l8th
Street between B and D Avenues. Moved by Fritz, seconded
by Boulette that permission be granted, work to be done under
the supervision of the Street Superintendent. Carried.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Boulette that the President
of the Board appoint a committee of three to prepare an
ordinance regarding Fire Limits. Carried. The President
appointed Trustees Fritz, Murray and City Engineer Ireland.
.Moved by Boulette, seconded by Addis that the propo-
sition of a building ordinance for the City be referred
to the same Committee. Carried.
✓ RESOLUTION NO. 788 Accepting work and Ordering Payment
to F. J. Thatcher for the construction of toilets, etc. in
the City Park, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by
Fritz that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
'`'RESOLUTION NO. 789 0f Intention to pave with Portland
Cement Concrete, stripe along National Avenue from First
to Sixth Streets, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by
Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
'•RESOLUTION NO. 790 Ordering the change and establishment
of the grade of portions of G and K Avenues, was read. Moved
by Boulette, seconded by Murray that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
in RESOLUTION NO. 791 Authorizing Payment of Bonded Indebt-
edness due March 15, 1923, amounting to $4380.00, was read.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.RESOLUTION NO. 792 Approving appointment of J.A.Burns
as Deputy Marshal and fixing salary at $100.00 per month
commencing March 6, 1923, was read. Moved by Addis;,
seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried
all Trustees present voting aye.
Bond of W. T. Tuttle as Maeter Plumber, was presented.
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that the bond be
approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 793 of Award for grading and other im-
provement of portione of 5th, 6th and 7th Streets, to
Pioneer Truck Co. was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by
Fritz that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
.present voting aye.

Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz, that the
Resolution of Award be approved. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Boulette, that the City
Clerk be authorized to return certified check of National
Building & Loan Co. which accompanied their bid. Carried.
-Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that the City
Clerk be inetructe&to have building permit cards printed.
Carried.
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz, that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
