Minutes of re?ular meeting of August 21, 1923 read and approved. The following bills audited by the Finance Committee presented: Ray M. Recorder for the month presented and ordered filed. Petition of Van Naticnal Avenue, was Carried. of August, 1923, Deripe & Bird to remove read.. a tree on Moved by Addis, seconded by Murray that the petition be granted. Carried. • Petition of property owners offering to pay half for paving eighth Street from end of pavement to East City Limits, was read and laid Over to the next meeting. , A majority of the Finance Committee reconr ended the ado.ticn of Ordinance introduced July 17, 1923, fixing the salary of the City Engineer. ORDINANCE -TO. , An Ordinance Fixing the Salary of the City Engineer and Repealing Ordinance ITo. 496, was placed on final raseage. Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis that the Ordinance be adopted. Motion lost by the following vote. Ayes -Trustees Addis and Murray; JTaye- Trustees Edgerton, Fritz and Roulette. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Edgerton, that a street light of sixty candle Hower be installed at the intersec- tion of Seventh Street and L Avenue, provided no additional expense is incurred for installing same. Carried. ORDItiAITCE 70. An Ordinance Fixing the Rate arid Levying the taxes for the fiscal year 1923-1924, was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz, that it be introduced and laid over unaer the rules and according to law. Carried. RESOLUTION NO. 831 Authorizing payment of Bonded indebted- ness amounting to d,40,380.00, due September 15, 1923, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addle, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. -Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that there be trans- ferred from the General Fund to the Street Fund - 03000.00 and from the General Fund to the Police Fund - $1650.00and the City Clerk and City Treasurer be authorized to make the necessary entries upon their records.
