Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,- Addis, Boulette,
Fritz, Murray and Edgerton.
Minutes of the meeting of April 17, 1922 read and
approved.
`The President announced the following as the standing
committees for the ensuing term:
FINANCE AND ACCOUNTS.-- Murray, Addis, Boulette.
STREETS AND PUBLIC PROPERTY. —Fritz,• Boulette, Murray.
WATER SUPPLY AND FIRE DEPARTMENT--Boulette, Fritz, Addis.
POLICE,PUBLIC HEALTH AND MORALS. --Addis, Murray, Fritz.

Moved by Fritz, seconded by Goulette that the bids be
referred to the City Engineer. Carried.
.Communication from T. M. Telander regarding condition
of sidewalk at the Southeast corner of First Street and
National Avenue was read and referred to the Street Committee.
Communication from G. B. Tuttle regarding condition of
Seventh Street between First and Second Avenues was read and
referred to the Street Committee:.
.Communication from G. W. Deford regarding position as
Street Superintendent was read and referred to the Street
Committee.
,Communication from merchants contributing to the expense
of -maintaining a Night Watchman, was read and referred to
the Police Committee.
COMMUNICATION FROM H. G. Fenton requesting an extension
of thirty days time for the completion of the improvement of
Twenty Fourth street from Highland to Sixth Avenue, was read.

The Quarterly Reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer
were presented and ordered filed.
Report of the City Engineer regarding the bids for the
grading of Eighteenth Street and recommending the acceptance
of the bid of Charles Stein, was read.
'Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that:H:.H..Fenton be
and he is hereby granted an extension of thirty days to com-
plete his contract with the Street Superintendent of National
City, California, for the completion of his contract for the
improvement of Twenty Fourth Street in said City from Highland
Avenue to Sixth Avenue, and that the Street Superintendent be
and he is hereby instructed to endorse said extension on said
contract. Carried.
✓.RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 717 for the grading of Eighteenth
Street from Highland Avenue to P Avenue was read. Moved by
Boulette, seconded by Murray that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that Resolution of
Award No. 717 be approved. Carried, all Trustees present "
voting aye.
RESOLUTION NO. 718, Accepting Deed to portion of First
Street executed by M. J. and Izero E.Tinkham, was read.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray that Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
✓RESOLUTION NO. 719, Accepting the Map of the Chamber of
Commerce Industrial Lauds #1, was read. Moved by Boulette,
seconded by Addis that the Resolution be adopted. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
'The following Bonds for Sidewalk Builders were presented:
Hills & Broderick,a corpartnership; Sacher & Pearson,a copartner-
ship and Alla C.Chamberlain. Moved by Boulette, seconded by
Addis that the Bonds be approved, accepted and ordered filed.
Carried.

✓•RESOLUTION NO. 720 Directing the Clerk to advertise
for bide for $36,000.00 worth face value of the paving
bond issue, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Addis
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
