Trustees present,- Addis', Boulette, Fritz, Murray and Edgerton. Minutes of regular meeting of July 18, 1922, read and approved. The following bills audited by the Finance Committee presented: J. H. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Communication from W.J.Bueh Citrus Products Co. regarding Franchise for Railroad Spur, was read and ordered filed. .Communication from Dr. T. F.Johnson regarding repairs on Library Building was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that the repairs to the Library Building mentioned in Dr. Johnson's letter be taken care of by the Board of Trustees. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Report of the City Clerk for the year ending June 30,1922 was accepted and:the City Clerk was authorized to publish same as required by law. 164." •The City Engineer reported that he Would recommend that permission be granted Hille & Broderick to grade the alley between Eighth and Ninth Streets and C and B Avenues. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Addis that the report be accepted. Carried. .Moved by Fritz, seconded by Roulette that the proposition of furnishing Gasoline for City Employees be laid over two weeks. Carried. ✓•RESOLUTION NO. 740, Granting Petition of W. A. Bush to construct and operate a Railway Track in alleys in Blocks 279 and 280 and across 23rd and 24th Streets, introduced July 5, 1922, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 741 Repealing Resolution No. 666, and Creating Office of Traffic Policeman and appointing J. J. La Porte as Traffic Policeman,was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by Murray that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Addis that the motion at the last meeting in which the Fire Chief was permitted to attend the Fire Chief's Convention at Ban Francisco be changed to read that he be instructed to attend said con- vention. Carried. 'Bond of J. E. Miller, Master Plumber, was presented. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that the Bond be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried. .ORDIRANCE NO. , An Ordinance Amending Sections 4,5,6,7, 9 and 13 of Ordinance No. 341, providing specifi— cations for the Construction of Cement Sidewalks and Curbs, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Boulette, that it be introduced, laid over under the rules and according to law. Carried. 165.et' July and 'Estimate of the City Engineer, work completed to 31, 1922 by Fairchild-3ilmcre-Wilton-Co. ordered filed. ^vas read RESOLUTION NO. 742 Approving Estimate of City Engineer and Authorizing Payment of 75% to Fairchild -Gilmore -Wilton -Co. amounting to 34228.59, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Murray that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. '• RESOLUTION NO. 743, Adopting Map of Truesdell Place, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that the Reso- lution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ✓,RESOLUTION NO. 744, Ordering the Work of Paving First Street, National Avenue to F Avenue, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Boulette that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. v •RESOLUTION No. 745, Accepting Specifications and in- structing Clerk to advertise for bids for bituminous wearing surface upon existing pavement on First Street from National Avenue to and including curve in the intersection of F Avenue, was read. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. by Murray, seconded by Boulette that the City Engin- eer be instructed to purchase a Munroe Calculating Machine at G155.00. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 'Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that Mr. E.C. Gallup be allowed to removed trees. Carried. Moved by Murray, seconded by Boulette that a_Street Light be ordered in at National Avenue and 13th Streets. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
