National City, Calif., Feb. 21, 1922.
Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,- Cordingly,
Boulette, Edgerton, Snook and Hertel.
Minutes of regular meeting of February 7, 1922 read
and aprroved.
The following bills audited by the Finance Committee

-Resignation of Mr. Fred Hertel as a member and President
of the Board of Trustees was read and laid over.
.Petition of H. G. Fenton for an extension of sixty days
time within which to complete his contract for the improve-
ment of Twenty Fourth Street from Highland to Sixth Avenues
was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Snook that H. G.
Fenton be and he is hereby granted an extension of sixty days
within which to complete his contract with the Superintendent
of Street of National City for the improvement of Twenty Fourth
Street in said City from Highland Avenue to Sixth Avenue and
that the Superintendent of Streets of said City be and he is
hereby authorized to endorse such extension of time upon the
contract for doing said work. Carried.

- Communication from Manuel Rose asking to be appointed
Deputy Marshal without pay, was read and ordered filed.
_Communication from R. G. Pepprell requesting that the
License in the name of Pepprell & Schenkall be changed to
National City Billiard Parlor. Moved by Snook, seconded by
Edgerton that the request be granted and the City Clerk be
authorized to make the necessary change upon the license.
Carried.
Report of the Health Officer for the year 1921 was
read and ordered filed.
.Petition of Geo. M. Thompson to remove t*o eucalyptus
trees in front of property located at 2004 D Avenue was read.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Cordingly that the request be
granted. Carried.
•Bond of F. M. Tattersall, Master Plumber, was presented.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Cordingly that the Bohd be
approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
.ORDINANCE NO. 513, Fixing the Salary of the Health
Officer at $25.00 per month, was placed on final passage
passage and on motion by Cordingly, seconded by Snook, same
adopted all Trustees present voting aye.
•Moved by Goulette, seconded by Snook that a Committee
be appointed to investigate the proposition of purchasing
new fire apparatus and a new City Hall, and report to the
Board of Trustees. Carried. The following were
appointed members of the Committee: Trustees Snook, Edgerton,
Boulette and Cordingly.
''Moved by Boulette, seconded by Edgerton that the City
Clerk be instructed to purchase new filing cabinet at price
of $113.60. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Cordingly that Board
adjourn. Carried.
