Trustees present- Addis, Boulette, Fritz, Murray and Edgerton. Minutes of adjourned meeting of June 21, 1922 read and approved. The following bills audited by the Finance Committee presented: F. M. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Petition of C. W. Woodford to remove eucalyptus trees was read and referred to the Street Superintendent. Communication from W. A.Bush regarding application for Franchise for Railroad spur, was read and ordered filed. 158. J .Communication from Arthur Koenig regarding stagnant ppol of water at 21st street and 8th Avenue, was read and referred tc the Health Officer. Communication from. the Librarian regarding annual report was read and ordered filed. ,Communication from the Secretary of Library Board requesting the reappointment of Dr. T.F.Jchnson and Mrs. Anna R. Owen members of the Library Board, whose terms expired June 30, 1922, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that Dr. T. F. Johnson and Mrs. Anna R. Owen be appointed members of the Library Board for the term beginning July 1, 1922. Carried. •Application cf M. Rose for position as Deputy Marshal for Night duty, was read, and referred to the Police Committee. •Communication. from 7. A. McCall regarding the audit of the City records was read and ordered filed. -Communication of Charles Stein for an extension of thirty days time for the completion of the work of grading 18th Street, was read. •RESOLUTION NO. 736, Granting Charles Stein an extension of thirty days time for the completion of the work under contract dated May 3, 1922, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. -Petition of Hille & Broderich to grade the alley between 8th and 9th Streets and C and B Avenues without cost t6 the City was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Murray that it be referred to the City Engineer. Carried. Report of the Librarian for the year ending June 30, 1922 was presented and ordered filed. -Report of the City Recorder for the month of June, 1922 was read and ordered filed. 159. r 'Report of the Fire Chief for year ending June 30, 1922 was read and ordered filed. 'The City Engineer reported that he would recommend that the property owners be granted permission to grade G Avenue from 3rd to 4th Streets, provided they would put in the necessary drains. .cued by Boulette, seconded by array that the report be accepted and that permission be granted property owners on G Avenue to grade same from 3rd to 4th Streets. Carried. 'Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray that Mr. A.A.Mills be granted permission to remove.trees. Carried. 'Moved by Fritz, seconded by Boulette that it lathe sense of this Board that we are in favor of opening D Avenue from the North to the South City limits. Carried. -Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that the office of City Bacteriologist be declared vacant. Carried. •ORDINANCE NO. 515, An Ordinance Repealing ordinance No. 382 regarding the installation of electric wiring and providing for the inspection thereof, was placed on final passage, and on motion by Fritz, seconded by Addis, same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye. -Bonds of H. Lambrechs and Edward Rohde as Master Plumbers were presented. Moved by Addis, seconded by Murray that the Bonds be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried. "•RESOLUTION NO. 737, Authorizing the Payment of Bonded Indebtedness due July 1, 1922, amounting tov475.00 was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Murray that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. -RESOLUTION NO. Granting petition of W. A. Bush to construct and operate a Railway Track in alleys in Block 279 and 280 and across 23rd and 24th Streets was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be introduced and laid over under the rules and according to law. Carried. 160.v ,/.RESOLUTION NO. 738, Directing the City Engineer to furnish diagram of property affected and benefited by grading 18th Street from Highland Avenue to P Avenue, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ✓,RESOLLTTION NO. 739, approving diagram of City Engineer of property affected and benefited by grading 18th Street, Highland to P Avenues, was read. IMoved by Fritz, seconded by Murray that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 'Moved by Murray, seconded by Boulette, that the City Engineer and Superintendent of Streets be instructed to locate the boundary lines of Bay Avenue. Contd.
