Trustees present,- Addis, Boulette, Murray, Fritz and Edgerton. Minutes of regular meeting of July 5, 1922 read and approved. The following bills audited by the Finance Committee presented: R. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. -Mr. E. I. Ambron was present regarding the collection of garbage. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Roulette that Mr. E. I. Ambron be given permission to collect garbage under the supervision of the Police Department. Carried. -Communication from the San Diego Consolidated Gas & Electric Co. regarding the installation of lights ordered was read and ordered filed. -Application of R. L. Vaughan for position as Inspector on paving work was read. 162.E 'Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis that the office of Paving Inspector created by Resolution No. 733 be declared vacant. Carried. •Communication from E.M.tlright regarding the appointment of J.J. LaPorte as speed officers, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Boulette that it be referred to the Police Com- mittee. Carried. Report of the City Engineer regarding sidewalks on 9th Street and Highland Avenue, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that the City Marshal notify the property owners on 9th Street and Highland Avenue that unless same is put in, work will be d6ne under the Vrooman Act. Carried. •Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that R. L. Vaughan be and he is hereby appointed Inspector of paving work created by Resolution No. 733 at the salary and according to the terms and conditions of said Resolution. Carried. neportsof the City Clerk and City Treasurer for the Quarter ending June 30, 1922, were presented and ordered filed. 'Moved by Fritz, seconded by Goulette that the request of C.W.Woodford to remove. trees be denied. Carried. -Moved by Roulette, seconded by Addis that the Fire Chief be allowed to take his vacation and attend the Fire Chief's Convention at San Francisco during August, and that he be allowed hie expenses not to exceed $125.00. Carried 'oy the following vote: Ayes- Trustees Boulette, Addis and Edgerton; Nays, -Trustees Murray and Fritz. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that Board adjourn. Carried.
