Regular meeting of the Board of Trueteee called to
order by the President. Trueteee present,- Addis, Goulette,
Fritz, Murray and Edgerton.
Minutes of adjourned meeting of May 23, 1922 read and
approved.

allowed and warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all
Trueteee present voting aye.
.Communication from W. A.Bush of W.J.Bueh Citrus Products
Co. asking permission to extend a certain Railroad Spur, was
read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that it be referred
to the City Engineer. Carried.

Communication from W.R. Evarts regarding drainage
on National Avenue and 24th Street, was read and referred
to the City Engineer.
'Communication from U. S. Sailors regarding City Marshal
was read and referred to the Police Committee.
Communication from the National City Chamber of
Commerce pertaining to the appointment of a City Manager,
was read and referred to the Trustees as a whole.
'Report of the Recorder for the month of May, 1922 was
presented and ordered filed.
.The following bids for the paving of certain streets
were read and referred to the City Engineer:

,Moved by Addis, seconded by Murray, that two telephones
be installed, one at 7th Avenue and lSth Street and one at
8tn Street and National Avenue, and that the City Clerk be
instructed to notify the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Co.
to install same. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.

.Communication from the American LaFrance Fire Engine
Co. of California regarding the Harding Patrol Clock, was
read and referred to the Police Committee.
.Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray that the motion
adopted May 23rd instructing the City Clerk to notify the
Sweetwater Water Corporation to install a Hydrant on 8th
Street 330 feet Westerly from the Easterly City Limits, be
reconsidered. Carried.
.Moved by Fritz, seconded by Boulette, that the City
Clerk notify the Sweetwater Water Corporation to install
a Hydrant on 8th Street at a point 660 feet Westerly from
the Easterly City Limits. Carried, all Trustees present
vcting aye.
•The City Engineer reported regarding the Seiver connec-
tions, that it would cost $25.00 on A Avenue and 8th Street
and $35.00 on 9th Street and B Avenue. Moved by Addis,
seconded by Boulette, that the City Engineer be instructed
to give Sewer connections to Mr. Wetzler A Avenue and 8th
Street, and Mrs. A.M.Taylor, B.Avenue and 9th Street. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
I -RESOLUTION NO. 728 Repealing Resolution No. 666 and
rescinding motions employing Deputy Marshals, was read.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
-Moved by Boulette, seconded by Murray that a warrant
in favor of J.M.Pacaud for $7.50 for salary as Night Watchman
to June 6, 1922, be allowed. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
)-RESOLUTION MO. 729, Approving the Appointment of Thomas
P. Frazer as Deputy Marshal and Fixing his salary, was read.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.

V1RESOLUTION NO. 730 Approving the application of John E.
Blackman to the Secretary of War of the United States for
perriesion to build a modern mole type pier in the City of
National City, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by
Addis that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
•ORDINANCE NO. An Ordinance Repealing Ordinance
No. 382 regarding the installation of Electrical Wiring, etc.
was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Murray that it be
introduced and laid over under the rules and according to
law. Carried.
Report of the City Engineer regarding the bids for
paving certain streets and recommending that the bid of
Fairchild -Gilmore -Wilton -Co. be accepted, Was read and ordered
filed.
v4RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 731, Accepting the Bid of
Fairchild -Gilmore -Wilton -Co. for the paving of oertain streets
Was read. Moved by Murray, seoonded by Fritz that the Reso-
lution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
v-F.ESOLUTION NO. 732, Authorizing the City Treasurer to
procure the necessary book for Street Bonds, was read. Moved
by Murray, seconded by Fritz that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
✓.RESOLUTION NO. 733 Creating the Office of Paving Inspector,
Fixing the compensation and appointing Inspector, was read. Moved
by Murray, seconded by Fritz thatthe Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis that the Board adjourn.
Carried.
