Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,- Addis, Boulette,
Fritz, Murray and Edgerton.
Minutes of regular meeting of April 18, 1922 read and
approved.
The following bills audited by the Finance Committee

Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis that the bills be
allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
Communication from Dr. R. J. Pickard to Dr. Johnson, was
read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that Dr. R.J.Pickard
be made an offer of $20.00 a month salary flat rate. Carried.

rThe following bid for the purchase of $36,000.00 worth
face value of the paving bonds received: Aronson and Company
of Los Angeles, at par, accrued interest and a premium of
$500.00.
,Remonstrance of property owners for further paving on
First Street was read.
RESOLUTION NO. 721, Accepting Bid of Aronson and Company
of Los Angeles for $36,000.00 worth face value of the paving
bonds, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Murray that
the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
Communication from R. Schiller of San Diego regarding
book furnished to Mr. J. Murray Loop, was read and ordered
filed.
Communication from G. V.Tuttle regarding condition of
Second Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets, was read and
ordered filed.
Application of J. A.Burns for position of nightwatohman
was read and referred to the Police Committee.
.Communication from William E. Cloe, was read and
referred to the Police Committee.
Report of W. S. Carvell regarding conditions existing
in the lower part of the city, was read. Moved by Murray,
seconded by Addis that it be referred to the Health Committee
with power to act. Carried.
Communication from F. W. Crocker regarding installation
of electrical work, was read and referred to the City Attorney.
Petition of property owners for a Street Light at the
intersection of 17th Street & B Avenue was read and referred
to the Street Committee.
Petition of property owners for additional Street Lights,
one at 18th St. & P.Ave and one at 18th St. & Grove St. was
read and referred to the Street Committee.

Petition of Frank Bolderez to remove treee in front
of Lots 18 to 20, Block 342, was read. Moved by Goulette,
seconded by Addis that the petition be granted. Carried.
Petition of Mrs. M. M. Stuart to remove a tree was
read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Murray that it be
referred to the Street Superintendent. Carried.
—Report of the Recorder for the month of April, 1922
was presented and ordered filed.
Bonds of W. T.Tuttle as Master Plumber and R. F.
Montijo as Sidewalk Builder, were presented. Moved by
Fritz, seconded by Murray that the Bonds be approved,
accepted and ordered filed.
✓•RESOLUTION NO. 722 Adopting Map of Sanitarium Place
was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried.
- Communication from the Recorder was referred to the
Police Committee.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis that the City make
application to the State Board of Harbor Commissioners for
a twenty—five year lease of two blocks of land at foot of
Eighth Street from 7th to 9th Streets. Carried.
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that it is the
sense of this Board that the paving of First Street should
be put through. Carried.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis that the City Attorney
and City Engineer be requested to speed up work on First
Street. Carried.
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that Board adjourn.
Carried.
