order by the President. Trueteee present,- Addis, Fritz,
Murray and Edgerton.
Boulette absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of May 2, 1922 read and
approved.

Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis that the bills be
allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried,
all Trueteee present voting aye.
.The President appointed the following as members of the
Clean Up Campaign Committee: Murray, Fritz and Addis.
Communication from Dr. R. J.Pickard,was read and
ordered filed.
Application of Eugene L. Malcolm for the position of
Sewer and Plumbing Inspector, was read and referred to the
Streets & Public Property Committee.

Communication from Olive L. Elite regarding pond
at corner of 34th Street and National Avenue, was read
and referred to the Streets & Public Property Committee.
Application of R. E.Smith for position of Paving
Inspector, was read and ordered filed.
Petition of citizens in the vicinity of 6th Street
and Arcadia Street requesting the removal of the bees,
was read and referred to the Police Committee.
•Petition of citizens at the East end of Eighth Street
for Fire plug,was read and referred to the Water Supply
and Fire Department Committee.
Petition of property owners on Firet Street to have
the balance of paving on First Street between National
and F Avenues completed, was read and ordered filed.
'Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray that the San Diego
Consolidated Gas & Electric Company be instructed to put in
Street Lights at 17th & B Ave., 18th & P Ave. & 18th & Grove
Ave. Carried.
•RESOLUTION NO. 733 Directing the cancellation of certain
Tax Sale Certificates, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded
by Fritz that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
1 RESOLUTION NO. 724 Accepting plans, drawings, specifi-
cations, etc. for paving and grading certain streets was
read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that the Resolution
be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
J 'RESOLUTION NO. 725 Directing the City Clerk to advertise
for bide for paving pertain streets, was read. Moved by
Addis, seconded by Murray that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
•ORDINANCE NO. Establishing grade of First Street
from National Avenue to a point 992.3 feet Easterly from the
Easterly line of National Avenue, was read. Moved by Fritz,
seconded by Murray, that it be introduced and laid over under
the rules and according to law. Carried.

•RESOLUTION NO. 726 Accepting Partial Release of Mortgage
by Max Thelen and Wife, was read. Moved bV Fritz, seconded
by Addis that Resolution be adopted:. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
,/.RESOLUTION NO. 727 Accepting Deed of Southern Trust &
Commerce Bank for portion of First Street, was read. Moved
by Fritz, Seconded by Murray that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Addis, seconded by Murray that the Board
adjourn to Tuesday, May 23rd, 1922 at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
Carried.
