Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the City:.Clerk. Trustees present,- Addis, Boulette,
Fritz and Murray. Edgerton absent.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray, that Trustee
Boulette act as President pro tem. Carried.
Minutes of regular meeting of October 17, 1922 read
and approved.

Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that the bills be
allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried.
Mr. J. J. Skinner requested permission to remove trees
on 18th Street. Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis that the
request be granted provided same are replaced by other trees.
Carried.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz the matter of
Telephone Franchise be referred to the City Attorney to
report on at the next meeting. Carried.
Communioation from the Automobile Club regarding the
placing of signs was read and ordered filed.
,Communication from the President of the Board of Trustees
of Calexico, California, regarding the International Cotton
Pageant, was read and ordered filed.
Communication from the San Diego Eleotric Railway Company
requesting that a parking space at the Southeast Corner of
Street
Eighth/and National Avenue be granted them. Moved by Murray,
seconded by Addis that the request be granted. Carried.
Petition of W. G. Kraft regarding ditch on J. Avenue
between 24th and 30th Streets was read and referred to the
Street Committee.
Petition to close C Avenue from let to 3rd Streets was
read end referred -to the City Engineer.
Request of W. L. Cagle for change in name of Pool License
was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray that the request
be granted. Carried.
Petition of P. L. Lester for License to operate a Pool
Room was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis that the
request be granted. Carried.
.Communication from A. E. Upper preferring charges against
the City Marshal was read. The Police Committee reported
as follows:
Your Committee to which was referred this
complaint of Mr. Upper against City Marshal
Wright beg to report we find the evidence in
the case insufficient and advise the case be
dismissed.

Moved by Murray, seconded by Addis that the report be
accepted. Carried.

. Application of Chas. L. Brown for the position of
City Marshal was read and ordered filed.
• Report of the Recorder fot' the month of October, 1922
waspresented and ordered filed.
The City Engineer reported that he had set stakes in
the alley mentioned in Wm. Rankin's complaint.
Moved by Murray, seoonded by Fritz that a Fire Hydrant
be put in at 9th Street and National Avenue. Carried.
-Moved by Murray, seoonded by Fritz that the matter of
purchasing mattresses for use at the Fire Hall be referred
to the Fire Committee. Carried.
Moved by Murray, seoonded by Addis that the Tide Land
Lease be accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
d RESOLUTION NO. 756 Directing the City Engineer to fur-
nish diagram for the paving of portion of First Street from
National to F Avenues was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded
by Murray that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
RESOLUTION NO. 757 0f Intention to Change and Establish
the Grade of Second Street, let to F Aven*es and Third Street,
let to Highland Avenues was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded
by Murray that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
✓.RESOLUTION NO. 758 0f Intention to Change and Establish
the Grade of A Avenue, 2nd to 3rd Streets; B Avenue, lEtto 10th
Streets; C Avenue, let to 3rd and 5th to loth Streets and
D Avenue, and to loth Streets, was read. Moved by Murray,
seconded by Fritz that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
v.RESOLUTION NO. 759 Establishing the Grade of Fifth Street,
let to K Avenues; Sixth Street, let to K Avenues and Seventh
Street, National Avenue to K Avenue, was read. Moved by Fritz,
seoonded by Murray that the Resolution be adopted. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.

Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis= that the City Clerk
be instructed to order one of Locke's Blue Book, 1921 from
B. S. Crocker Co., Los Angeles, Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
