Trustees present, - Murray and Edgerton/ Addis absent. Minutes of regular meeting of November and approved. The following bills presented: H. S. Crocker Co.,Inc. Southern Title Guaranty Co. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that under present conditions the City cannot accept the offer for advertising in the Union's New Yeare Addition. Carried. Petition of citizens requesting an ordinance for the relief from unnecessary noises such as crowing of roosters, bellowing of coise, bleating of goats, etc. was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Boulette that it be referred to the Police, Health & Morale Committee. Carried. Petition of the Mexico Stage Company was presented and referred to the City Attorney. Petition of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company to trim treesLon Eighth Street between R and Sanitarium Avenues was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Murray that the petition be granted. Carried. 186. Communication from 'he San Diego & Arizona Railway Company regarding the condition of pavement on National Avenue was read and ordered filed. Petition of citizens regarding conditions existing at the Paradise Valley Sanitarium, was read and referred to the Health Officer, City Attorney and City Engineer to report on at next meeting. Petition of Otto Stang to trim trees on 18th Street was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that the petition be granted. Carried. Petition of Mrs. Sholl to close C Avenue, let to 3rd streets, was read and referred to the City Engineer. Communication from the Secretary of the Municipal Band requesting the appointment of Mr. Al Fairbrother as leader of the Municipal Band, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that Mr. Al Fairbrother be appointed leader of the Municipal Band. Carried. Report of the City Engineer regarding the petition to close C Avenue from let to 3rd Streets and recommending that the petition be granted, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray that the report of the City Engineer be accepted and the City Attorney instructed to prepare the necessary papers. Carried. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz that the matter of the placing of a Fire Hydrant be referred to the Fire Committee, with power to act. Carried. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Fritz that the following transfers of funds from the General Fund be made.: To the Salary Fund- $73.74; to the Street Fund- $317.10; to the Fire Fund- $271.46; to the Police Fund- $188.43; to the Health Fund- $4.95 and to Sinking Fund No. 3- $24.51, and that the City Clerk and City Treasurer be instructed to make the necessary entries upon their records. Carried. 18 7. / The Street Committee to whom the petition of W. G. Kraft regarding drainage of water was referred reported that nothing could be done. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Murray that the report be accepted. ORDINANCE NO. 519 Declaring all old buildings or structures which are dilapidated beyond repair to be public nuisances and providing for the -abatement of same, was plaoed on final passage and on motion be Murray, seconded by Boulette, same adopted all Trustees present voting aye. Bond of C. B. Offerman as Master Plumber was pre- sented. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Boulette that the Bond be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried. 7 RESOLUTION N0. 760 Approving Diagram of City Engineer for Paving First Street, National Avenue to F Avenue, was read. Moved by Goulette, seconded by Murray that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ✓RESOLUTION N0. 761, Ordering Change and Establishment of Grade of portions of 5th, 6th and 7th Streets, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Moved by Murray, seconded by Boulette, that the Street Committee maks arrangements to buy a new tractor. Carried. *Moved by Murray, Seconded by Boulette that proceedings be started to order sidewalks in on 9th Street and Highland Avenue, and the City Attorney and City Engineer prepare the necessary papers.
