Trustees present,-Cordingly; Boulette, Edgerton, Snook and Hertel. Minutes of adjourned meeting of April 7, 1931 read and approved. The following bills, audited by the Finance Committee presented: J.M. Loop Clerical work,Sewer Bonds $100.00 Jas. Burnham & Co. Bonde,Treas. & Engr. 356.25 Bud Briggs St. Dept. Labor 53.00 John Chew " " 53.00 The San Diego Union " Adv. 1.68 Irwin & Co. " Grain 28.94 Joe F. Carvell Fire Dept. Labor 4.00 Geo. Leeper Labor, Fire & park 15.00 0.E.Brown " Engr. Dept. 66.00 Total $575.87 Moved by Boulette, seconded by Snook that the bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. •Report of the Recorder for the month of March, 1931 read and ordered filed. •Communication from the Manager of Operations of the City of San Diego, regarding Laboratory for making cement testa, was read and ordered filed. Communication from F.B. Meriam, filed. •Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Boulette, that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an ordinance to check speeding of Automobiles through the City. Carried. Bond of the City Treaeurer for $100,000.00 was presented. Moved by Snook, seconded by Cordingly, that the Bond be approved and ordered filed. Carried. ,ORDINANCE NO. Repealing Ordinance No. 504 and Amending Sections 7 and 12 of Ordinance No. 497, was read. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Boulette that it be introduced and laid over under the rules and according to law. Carried. 65. " •RESOLUTION NO. 547 Creating Office of Inspeotor for Paving, Grading and Culverts on certain Streets, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Edgerton, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried by the following vote: Ayes, -Trustees Boulette, Edgerton, Snook and Hertel. Nay,- Trustee Cordingly. ,Moved by Boulette, seconded by Snook that the City Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to notify property owners on First Street from National Avenue to the East line of F Avenue to install sewer laterals to the curb line on each fifty feet of their frontage on said First Street and that 1f they do not do so within sixty days from this date, the same will be installed under Vrooman Act proceedings and charged to their property. Carried. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Snook, that the City Engineer be instructed to prepare plane and specifications for the paving of First Street under the Vrooman Act, from the East line of National Avenue to the East line of F Avenue except a strip sixteen feet wide in the middle thereof from the East line of National Avenue to a point eight feet East of the center line of F Avenue, said paving to be the same class of paving as the sixteen feet of paving to be constructed in the middle of #,ke said Street. Carried. •Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Snook that the City Engineer be instructed to procure the necessary implements to Work with. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
