Carried, all Trustees _resent voting aye. Mr. F. J. Hodges present and requested permission to remove one eucalyptus tree at 41533 5th Ave. stating he would replace same with Black Acacia. Moved by Snook, seconded by Edgerton that the petition be granted. Carried. Mr. J. J. Skinner present regarding culvert being installed at 18th Street and National Avenue. Moved by Snook, seconded by Boulette that it be referred to the Street Committee. Carried. Petition of property owners requesting that the curb lines on K. Avenue be made 32 feet apart are now,was read. Moved by Snook, be referred to the City Engineer. instead of 48 feet as they seconded by Cordingly that it Carried. 51.E Copy of a resolution adopted by the Council of the Cit of San Jose regarding the corporation tax bill before the Legislature, was read and ordered filed. Communication from Mr. Ed. Fletcher cf San Diego with copy of resolution which he requested the Board to pase, wa read. v RESOLUTION NO. 631, Regarding Contracts for the Con- struction of the State Highway, Holtville to Yuma, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Edgerton that the Resolutio be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Report of the Recorder for the month of January, was read and ordered filed. Petition of property owners requesting the immediate paving of Highland Avenue, was read. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Boulette that the petition be accepted and filed Carried. Bond of Guy C. Tarner, Master Plumber, was presented. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Edgerton, that the Bond be approved and ordered filed. Carried. Bond of C. P. Hills to make Sewer connections was pre- sented. Moved by Snook, seconded by Cadirgly that the Bond be approved and ordered filed. Carried. Y s n City Attorney regarding Bid of San fifl iego Electric Company for a Franchise, stating legal reason why the sane should nct be and ordered filed. 632, Accepting Bid of San Diego Consolida- Company for Franchise to erect, lay and etc. for heat and power purposes, was read. seconded by Snook that the Resolution be all Trustees present voting aye. Granting Franchise to the San Diego Consolidated Gas & Electric Company to lay, erect and maintain gas pipes, etc. for heat and power, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette that it be introduced and laid over under the rules and according to law. Carried. 52.J i'P.ESOLUTION NO. 633 OF INTTENTION to Change and Establish the Grade of F Avenue, Second Street, also sidewalk on Second Street, was read. Moved by Bou-lette, seconded by Cordingly that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Snook, that the Board adjourn. Carried.
