National City, Calif., July 5, 1921.
Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,- Cordingly,Boulette,
Snook and Hertel. Edgerton absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of June 21, 1921 read and
approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the Finance

Moved by Boulette, seconded by Snook that the bills be
allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
Report of the Fire Chief for the year ending June 30,
1921 read and ordered filed.
Report of the Recorder for the month of June, 1921 was
read and ordered filed.
.Communication from Homeland Building Company presenting
deed to the Westerly 30 feet of the Easterly 3- of the Westerly 3-
of 40 Acre Lot 2, in w Section 131 for street purposes *as read
and referred to the City Engineer.

Application of W. C. Merritt for Master Plumber's License,
and bond of $1000.00 as required by Ordinance No. 506, was
presented. Moved by Snook, seconded by Cordingly that the
license be granted and the bond be accepted and approved.
Carried.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Snook that there be trans-
ferred from the General Fund to Sinking Fund No. 1 ; 82.79;
to Sinking Fund No. 2 $42.89 and to the Street Fund $1500.00,
and that the City Clerk and City Treasurer be authorized to
make the necessary entries upon their records. Carried.
/RESOLUTION D. 656, Authorizing payment of bonded indebt-
edness due July 1, 1921, amounting to $503.13, was read. Moved
by Boulette, seconded by Cordingly that the resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Snook that the appoint-
ment of Mary A.Bowman as Deputy Treasurer be approved and
confirmed. Carried.
Petition of property owners to close alley in Block 1
of W.R.Reags Subdivision, was read and referred to the City
Engineer.
Report of the City Engineer with approval of Superinten-
dent of Streets, showing estimate of work completed in June,...
1921 by the Fairchild -Gilmore -Wilton -Co. for paving, grading
and constructing culverts on certain streets, under contract
dated April 6, 1921, amounting to $47,000.25, was read.
✓ RESOLUTION NO. 657, Approving estimate of the City Engineer
and authorizing the proper officers of the City to drain a
warrant in favor of Fairchild -Gilmore -Wilton -Co. in the sum of
$35,250.19 on the Municipal Street Improvement Bond Fund of
1920, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Cordingly
that Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.

of Streets showing estimate of work completed to July 1, 1921,
so.'
by Fairchild -Gilmore -Wilton -Co. for the paving of a part of
the width of Highland Avenue and other streets, under cox,
tract dated June 15, 1921, amounting to $482.69, was read.
✓-RESOLUTION NO. 658, approving estimate of the City
Engineer and authorizing the proper officers of the City to
draw a warrant in favor of Fairchild -Gilmore -Wilton -Co. in
the sum of $362.01, on the Municipal Street Improvement Bond
Fund of 1920, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Boulette, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
ORDINANCE NO. Regulating and repair of all
electrical work and apparatus, /as read.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Snook that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
