Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,— Cordingly,
Boulette, Edgerton and Hertel. Snook late.
Minutes of regular meeting of April 19, 1921 read
and approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the

Moved by Boulette, seconded by Edgerton, that the bills
be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried
all Trustees present voting aye.
Petition of E. W.Haseltine for permission to make
sewer connections on Second Street instead of First Street,
was read. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Cordingly, that the
petition be granted. Carried.
Communication from E. V. Allen of the Beet Company, was
read and ordered filed.

Communication from the Olivewcod Club, was read and
ordered filed.
Communication from the San. Diego & Arizona Railway
regarding the paving of 23rd Street was read and referred
to the City Engineer.
Resignation of C.B. Ireland, as Electrical Inspector
was read and referred to the City Attorney.
Report of the Recorder for the month of April, 1921, was
read and ordered filed.
Report of the City Engineer in regard to narrowing B
Avenue between loth and 12th Streets was read and ordered
filed.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Edgerton that the peti-
tion of property owners to narrow B Avenue between loth and
12th Streets be denied. Carried.
Trustee Snook arrived.
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Snook that a warrant be
drawn in fator of the National City State Bank,Aesignee of
Olof Nelson, for the final payment for grading and culverts
on National Avenue from a point 100 feet North of the North-
erly line of 15th Street and the Northerly line of 21st
Street, amounting to $1536.49, as per contract with said
0lof Nelson. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
ORDINANCE NO. Granting Franchise to the San Diego
Consolidated Gas & Electric Company, was laid over.
ORDINANCE NO. 507 Repealing Ordinance No. 504 and amend-
ing Sections 7 and 12 of Ordinance No. 497, was placed on
final passage and on motion by Boulette, seconded by Edgerton
same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye.
ORDINANCE No. An Ordinance regulating travel and
traffic upon the public streets in the City of National City
and repealing Ordinance No. 333, was read. Moved by Boulette,
seconded by Edgerton that it be introduoed and laid over under
the rules and according to law. Carried.

Moved by Snook, seconded by Edgerton that the City Clerk
be and he is hereby directed to notify the Sweetwater Water
Corporation to cement or otherwise reconstruct the crater main
on First Street between the Easterly line of National Avenue
and the Easterly line of F Avenue so that it will not con-
tinue to spring leaks and that lateral connections also be
constructed on said First Street between said points to the
curb lines at points designated by the City Enginaer to avoid
cutting the pavement about to be constructed on said street
between said points, and also that the City Clerk be and he
is hereby instructed to notify the San Diego Consolidated Gas
& Electric Company to construct gas laterals on said First
Street between said points to the curb lines at points to be
designated by the City Engineer to avoid the cutting of the
pavement about to be constructed on<said street between
said points, all of said work to be done by June 1, 1921.
Carried.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Edgerton that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
