National City, Calif. May 17, 1921.
Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,- Cordingly,
Boulette, Edgerton, Snook and Hertel.
Minutes of regular meeting of May 3, 1921, read and
approved.
The following bills audited by the Finance Committee
presented:

Moved by Boulette, seconded by Edgerton, that the bills
be allowed and warrants ordered dram for the same. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Boulette, eeoonded by Cordingly that a warrant
be drawn in favor of Chas. Stein and Son for the final pay-
ment for excavation of ditch, construction of culvert and
removal of three old wooden bridges on 8th Street between
L Avenue and P Avenue, amounting to $880.43, as per con-
tract with said Chas. Stein and Son. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
'Dr. Wegeforth was present and requested improvement of
the street in Paradise Valley and asked that a fire plug be
placed.
Application of George M. Thompson for position of Deputy
City Marshal without pay was read. Moved by Cordingly,Seconded
by Edgerton that it be referred to the City Marshal. Carried.

'Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette that the motion -
made and carried by this Board at its meeting on May 3, 1921,
introducing and laying over under the rules and according to
law, "Ordinance No. , an Ordinance regulating travel
and traffic upon the public etreets in the City of National
City, and repealing Ordinance No. 333", be and the same is
hereby rescinded and repealed. Carried.
Ordinance No. , An Ordinance Regulating Travel
and Traffic upon Public Streets, was read. Moved by Edgerton,
seconded by Boulette that it be introduced and laid over under
the rules and according to law. Carried.
' RESOLUTION NO. 648, Directing the City Clerk to advertise
for bids for $30,000.00 worth face value of the paving bond
issue, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees pre-
sent voting aye.
RESOLUTION No. 649, Accepting Plans, Drawings, Specifi-
cations, etc, for paving and grading certain streets, was
read. Moved by,Boulette, seconded by Edgerton that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting
aye.
J RESOLUTION NO. 650, Authorizing and Directing the City
Clerk to advertise for sealed bids for paving and grading
certain streets vas read. Moved by Snook, seconded by Edgerton
that the Resclution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees pre-
sent voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Edgerton that the Board
adjourn to Tuesday, May 31, 1921, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
Carried.
