National City, Calif. May 31, 1921.
Adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,- Cordingly,
Edgerton, Snook and Hertel. Boulette absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of May 17th, 1921 read and
approved.
Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Snook, that the appoint-
ment by the Chief of the Fire Department of Frank %Crocker,
Engle Quintero, E. Shattuck, Joe F. Carvell, Howard Green and
S. C.Reid as Firemen and John C.Gilliland as Captain of the
Fire Department, be approved, to take effect on June 3, 1921.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
'Communication from W. S. Carvell requesting use of the
Fire Hall for the gathering and meeting place of the Fire
Club, was read and laid over.
,Bid of the First National Bank of San Diego for $30,000.00
worth of the Street Paving Bonds at par and accrued interest
to date of delivery, was read.
✓.RESOLUTION NO. 651, Accepting Bid of the First National
Bank of San Diego for $30,000.00 worth of the face value of
the paving bonds authorized by a Special Election held July 7,
1920, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Snook that
the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
Petition of Jose Garcia to remove trees was read and
referred to the Tree Committee.
ORDINANCE NO. 508, Regulating travel and traffic upon
the public streets, was placed on final passage and on
motion by Edgerton, seconded by Snook, same adopted all Trustees
present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Edgerton that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
