Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the City Clerk. Trustees present;- Cordingly,
Boulette, Edgerton and Snook. Hertel absent.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette that Trustee
Snook act as President pro tem. Carried.
Minutes of regular meeting of September 20, 1921 and
adjourned meeting of September 21, 1921 read and approved.

be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
•Loved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette that the City
Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for a six -horse
road -grader. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,Moved by Boulette, seconded by Cordingly that the City
Marshal be instructed to employ a dog-catcher. Carried.
,Petition of John L. Laxdal/ to remove trees on 24th Street
between Highland and G Avenues was read. Moved by Edgerton,
seconded by Boulette that the petition be granted. Carried.

A1:9lication of John L. Olmsted for positior. as Motorcycle
Officer, was read and ordered filed.
Petition of D. H. Ballantine for storm drain at 2532
J Avenue was read. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Goulette
that it be referred to the City Engineer. Carried.
• Petition of citizens requesting that a Street Light be
installed at the corner of 7th Street and L Avenue, was
read and ordered filed.
.Moved by Boulette, seconded by Cordingly that the Street
Superintendent be instructed to place a barrier at the 'last
end cf 7th Street for protection of travel. Carried.
•Report of the Fire Chief for the Quarter ending September
30, 1921 was read and ordered filed.
.Moved by Boulette, seconded by Edgerton that the Chairman
of the Fire Committee be instructed to purchase the necessary
chemical hose and also three pair of rubber boots. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye
Report of the Recorder for the Month of September, 1921
was read and ordered filed.
•Reportsof the City Clerk and City Treasurer for the
Q:vter ending September 30, 1921 presented and ordered filed.
RESOLUTION NO. 674, Instructing the City Attorney to make
application to the Railroad Commission of the State of Calif-
ornia for a hearing in regard to telephone rates, was read.
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Cordingly that the Resolution
be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
V•RESOLUTIOA NO. 675 Authorizing Payment of Bonded Indebted-
ness due October 1, 1921 amounting to $90.00, was read. Moved
by Edgerton, seconded by Goulette that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
. ORDIiTA:ZCE NO. Requiring House Movers to give a Bond
and obtain a License, 7as read. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by
Cordingly that it be introduced and laid over under the rules
and according to law. Carried.

•ORDINANCE NO. , Amending Section 2 of Ordinance
No. 507, Fixing the Salary of the City Recorder was read.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette that it be intro-
duced and laid over under the rules and according to la*.
Carried.
Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Cordingly that the
Board adjourn. Carried.
