Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,- Cordingly,
Boulette, Edgerton and Hertel. Snook absent.
Minutes of adjourned meeting of July 27, 1920 read
and approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the

Moved by Boulette, seconded byEdgerton, that the bills
be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
Bid of A. N.Loring to furnish the 180 bonds was read
and ordered filed.
'Petition of the Beacon Hill Nursery to remove trees, was
read. Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Boulette that the petit
tion be granted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Petitions of G. E.Miner and W. L. Russell for an increase
of salary, was read and laid over.
Communication from the Library Board recommending the re-
appointment of Mrs. Thelen for the term beginning July 1, 1920,
was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Edgerton that Mrs.
Fanny J. Thelen be appointed a member of the Library Board for
a term of three years beginning July 1, 1920. Carried.

Budget of the Library for the year 1920-21 was read
and ordered filed.
Report of the Recorder for the month of July, 1920,
was read and ordered filed.
, Report of the Librarian for the year ending June 30,
1920, was read and ordered filed.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Edgerton that the
request of Marie E. Case to remove trees be= denied. Carried.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette that the petition
of A. E. Southworth to remove trees be granted, same to be
replaced by Black Acacia. Carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 500, Providing for the Issuance of Bonds
in the sum of $180,000.00 for certain Street Improvement,
was placed on final passage and on motion by Cordingly,
seconded by Boulette, same adopted all Trustees present
voting aye.

RESOLUTION NO. 603, Petition/the Board of Supervisors
to provide for the paving of National and Highland Avenues
between this City and Chula Vista, was read. Moved by
Edgerton, seconded by Boulette that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette that the
Board adjourn. Carried.
