National City, Calif., July 20, 1920.
Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Trustees present,- Cordingly,
Goulette, Edgerton, Snook andHertel.
Minutes of regular meeting of July 6 and adjourned
meeting of July 12, 1920 read and approved.
The following bills audited by the Finance Committee
presented:

Moved by Goulette, seconded by Edgerton that the bills
be allo*ed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
,Petition of Dr. Theo. F. Johnson to remove eucalyptus
trees, was read and referred to the Tree Committee.
Reports of the'City Clerk,"City Treasurer and Fire Chief
for the Quarter ending June 30, 1920 presented and ordered filed.
The annual report of the City Clerk for the year ending
June 30, 1920, was presented. Mewed by Cordingly, seconded by
Snook that the report be received and filed and the City Clerk
be inetructed to have same published. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
•The chairman of the Street Committee stated that he had
inspected the street referred to in Mr. Tuttle's letter and
that the necessary repairs Would be made.

.ORDINANCE NO. Providing for the Issuance of
Bonds in the sum of $180,000.00 for the acquisition of certain
municipal improvement consisting of street work, *as read.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Snook that it be introduced
and laid over under the rules and as required by law. Carried.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Snook that the City
Attorney be instructed to write O'Melveny,Milliken & Tuller
and ascertain how much they would charge to pass upon the
validity of the Bond Issue of National City authorized by
the Election of July 7, 1920. Carried.
•Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Cordingly, that
City Marshal Wright be allowed a vacation of fifteen days from
the lst of August and that George McCormack act as Deputy during
his absence and receive a salary at the rate of $125.00 per
month. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
--Moved by Snook, seconded by Edgerton that the Street Supt.
be instructed to procure life preserver and rope for use at
wharf. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Cordingly that the Board
adjourn to Tuesday, July the 27th, 1920 at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
Carried.
