Trustees present,- Cordingly, Boulette, Edgerton and Hertel. Snook absent. Minutes of adjourned meeting of May 25, 1920, read and approved. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. moved by Edgerton, seconded by Boulette that the City Clerk be instructed to write the San Diego Consolidated Gas & Electric Company and ask them why they demand $21.00 from Mr. Chas. Stein to give him electric service, and also why charges are asked from other parties. Carried. •Petition of property owners to close L. Avenue between 8th and 6th Streets, was read. by Cordingly that it Carried. Report of theCity Recorder was read and ordered filed. The following bids were received for repairs Fire Hall: L.F.C.Smith - $240.00; Raymond Hill - Moved by Edgerton, seconded be referred to the Street Committee: for the month of May, 1920, to the $178.00. 185.E • Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Edgerton that the Bid of Raymond Hill for repairs to Fire Hall, amounting to $178.00 be accepted and he be instructed to go ahead with the work under the supervision of the City Rngineer. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Ordinance No. 498, Amending Section 7 of Ordinance No. 497, Fixing Compensation of the City Recorder, was placed on final passage and on motion of Cordingly, seconded by Goulette, same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye. Ordinance No. 499, Calling a Special Election to be held on the 7th day of July, 1920, and submitting to the voters of the City the proposition of incurring a bonded debt in the sum of $180,000.00 for certain municipal improvement, desig- nating the election precinct and polling place, appointing election officers and fixing their compensation, was placed on final passage, and on motion by Cordingly, seconded by Edgerton, same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye.
