Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to
order by the President. Tureteee present,- Cordingly,
Boulette, Edgerton, Snook and Hertel.
Minutes of regular meeting of June 1, 1920 read and
approved.
The following bills, audited by the Finance Committee

Whereas, in the proposed bond issue for paved streets,
provision is made for certain pavement on First Street, a
non -through traffic street, and,
Whereas, a majority of property owners on said First
Street petitioned this Board for the pavement of said First
Street prior to said proposed bond proceedings and many of
said property owners have publicly announced their determine.

Moved by Boulette, seconded by Snook that the bills
be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried
all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seoonded by Edgerton that the
City Attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary papers
for the closing of L. Avenue between 6th and 8th Streets.
Carried.
•Commfnication from the San Diego Consolidated Gas
& Electric;Company.explaining why $21.00 was requested of
Mr. Stein to install electric service, was read and ordered
filed.
✓-.The following Resolution offered by Trustee Cordingly:
°RESOLUTION.
187. "
Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of
National City that it is the sense of this Board that no
public money shall be spent for paving any part of said
First Street in said City, unlese at the same time, or
as near as may be, the paving of said First Street shall
be completed from curb to curb at the expense of the
property owners on said First Street.°
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Cordingly that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting
aye.
.Moved by Snook, seconded by Boulette that the City
Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to return to R. R. Downer
to whom the contract for the construction of sewers in
Sanitary Sewer District No. 1 has been awarded, the certified
check on deposit with his bid for said sewer Work, he having
entered into a contract therefor. Carried,
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Edgerton that the
Pool License granted to A. E. Upper be revoked, to take effect
July 1, 1920. Carried.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Edgerton that the City
Marshal be instructed to notify the owner at the Fertilizer
Works that unless the objectionable odors are stopped at
once, the City will have to take legal proceedings to stop
same. Carried.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Boulette that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
