Regular meeting of the Board of Truetees called to order
by the President. Trustees present,- Cordingly, Boulette,
Edgerton, Snook and Hertel.
Minutes of ad3curned meeting of September 28, 1920,
read and approved.
The following bills audited by the Finance Committee
presented:

Moved by Boulette, seconded by Edgerton that the bills
be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, •
all Trustees present voting aye.
Arplication of the San Diego Consolidated Gas & Electric
Co. requesting that the Board of Trustees advertise for sale
a franchise to erect, lay, operate and maintain gas pipes
and conduit, also poles, wires, etc. for transmitting gae and
electricity for heat and power purposes within the City of
National City, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Snook that it be referred to the City Attorney.Carried.
Resignation of S. H. Garrick as City Recorder, was read.
Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Boulette that the resignation
be aceepted, effective October 5, 1920. Carried.
Petition of W. F. Wilkins to remove trees, was read.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Cordingly that the petition be
granted. Carried.
Report of W. L. Russell for the Quarter ending September
30, 1920, also list of tools for Park, was read and ordered
filed.
Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Boulette, that a
requisition be required in future for all supplies purchased
for the City before they are purchased by any officer or
department, and that the City Clerk notify all officers of
the City of the passage of this motion. Carried.
Report of the City Clerk#for the quarter ending Sept.
30, 1920, read and ordered filed.
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Cordingly, that W. 8.
Carvell be appointed Fire Chief, effective October 6, 1920.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Boulette that F. B.
Meriam be appointed City Recorder, effective October 6, 1920.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Snook that the City Clerk
be instructed to draw a warrant in favor of Geo. E. Miner
for five days salary in October, as fire chief. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
RESOLUTION No. 605, Authorizing Payment of Bopded Indebted-
ness, due October 1, 1920, amounting to }120.00, was read.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Boulette that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
ORDINANCE NO. Fixing a Datum Line, etc., was read.
Moved by Snook, seconded by Edgerton that it be introduced
and laid over under the rules and according to law. Carried.
•Moved by Snook, seconded by Edgerton, that the Chairran
appoint a committee to see about the purchase of Fire Hose.
Carried.

Moved 'cy Edgerton, seconded by Snook that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
