Adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present,— Cordingly, Boulette,
Edgerton and Hertel. Snook absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of September 21, 1920 read and
approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the Finance
Committee presented:
The National City News, Printing,June,July & Aug. $151.19
H. C. Goulette Engr. Dept. Labor 8.00
Total $159.19
Moved by Boulette, seconded by Edgerton that the bills
be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
•Jack Rago asked permission to remove trees on Second
Avenue between 14th and 15th Streets, same to be replaced by
Olive Trees. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette that
petition be granted. Carried.
Petition of Fred J. Thatcher to remove eucalyptus trees
from north side of property at Third Street and G.Avenue,
was read. Moved by Roulette, seconded by Cordingly that
petition be granted. Carried.
Resignation of W. L.Russell, Park Superintendent, effective
Oct. 1, 1920, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Boulette that it be accepted. Carried.
Resignation of Geo. E. Miner, Fire Chief and Fire Marshal,
effective Oct. 1, 1920, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded
by Cordingly that the resignation be accepted to take effect
Oct. 5, 1920. Carried.
.Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette that the Street
Superintendent take charge of the Park until further orders,
from the.lst. of October, 1920. Carried.

'Application of F. B. Mariam for position as City
Recorder, was read. Moved by Boulette, seconded by Cordingly
that it be laid over. Carried.
-Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Boulette that C. B.
Ireland be appointed Electrical Inspector, effective Oct. let,
1920. Carried.
•ORDINANCE NO. 501, Fixing the Rate and Levying the
Taxes for the Fiscal Year 1920-21, at $1.93 per 0100.00
valuation, was placed on final passage and on motion by
Edgerton, seconded by Boulette, same adopted, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Boulette that Joe
Pacaud be appointed Deputy Marshal for the month of Oct.
1920 at a salary of $75.00. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Boulette that the City
Engineer be instructed to prepare plane and specifications
for the proposed paving. Carried.
Moved by Edgerton, seconded by Cordingly, that the
Board adjourn. Carried.
